There's a growing number of people in the Waterson-population-imbalance threads who are all coming up with or repeating the same idea: allow for a transfer of a character from one faction to another faction so long as the second faction has overall lower average population. The following restrictions and effects could/would apply: As above, must be from a faction of higher than average population to one of lower than average population Must be BR10+ (or higher? Would it matter if the average play time was high enough? Would even average play time matter if the average population was kept track of accurately?) Preferably, someone has their hand on the wheel here to prevent certain... groups... from gaming the system. Must give that character their certifications and faction-equivalent weapons (this would be awful to figure out for MAXes, especially NC -> VS/TR transfers) for infantry, tanks, planes, and leadership. MUST NOT BE A WAY TO CERT RESET. Must be a one-way street And I'm sure there are a great many other measures that people can and will think of. I, personally, think this is a great idea and one worth repeating. Not everyone will jump at this idea. If YOU wouldn't take the defection-transfer it doesn't mean that there aren't other people more than willing to do so (if only to join the active-when-needed-and-not-before, non-abusive leadership text-chat and almost always dead silent leadership VOIP channel of Waterson VS).
Agreed with all the other stuff, but it should give you all of your certs and SC back, and keep your BR and name.
This^. I support the defection idea. However, there are difficulties in accurately determining the faction "equivalent" of weapons when transferring. It would be easier to refund all certs and SC spent on said character and just allow them to re-spend everything. I would be in complete support of transferring to another faction, but you damn well better let me research the weapons, attachments, vehicles, camos, helmets, and other cosmetics myself so I can decide for myself what I want to get. Not allowing people to get a full refund would essentially be a punishment for leaving their faction, even if the aim was to redress the faction population imbalance.
