I kind of took it as a point of pride that I made BR120 (then leveled through the ASP reset) without EVER getting a weapons lock. Just now on my NS bot I was insta weapons locked while using a lib. No warning, no 1st, 2nd message, just bam, insta locked. Is this a new bug? There was some splash damage from the Spar, but I really didnt even kill any friendlies, or even do much damage. Never seen that before.
Hehe, not a new bug. Just the good old system at work. I've been weapon locked a bunch of times and everyone always goes "its your fault" and "must be intentional". But for example this week I started on Indar as it unlocked, drove up to TI alloys from below, after sustaining damage I naturally backed up over 2 dudes who quite literally thought I was good cover and never going to kill them and I immediately got a "final warning" that never really went away. 30 minutes of behind the lines without an ally in sight? A single splash hit on an ally who just ran into the edge of a grenade? Gotta warn you again final warning! The system is broken. I've been locked because I got stuck in a traffic jam and people kept bumping me while I just stood still hoping not to incur more grief points for something I couldnt do anything about. Oh you placed a Spitfire? Lets let some newb keep running in front of it until you get weapon locked! You try placing the Spitfire somewhere else? Some other idiot decides to do the same! Hey you got your tank facing a lane and keeping the enemy supressed? Dont worry people will hide behind your tank and give you the choice to squish them or let your vehicle be destroyed, I'll squish them every time. Ofcourse theres also people who run over your tank, into your line of fire or literally stand in front of your turret and are surprised by getting damaged or killed by the turret rotating or me firing my gun at enemies. TK warnings should take into account how much damage you dealt and how you dealt it. If you stand still, receive damage and back up over someone? No gried points, even the newbs back up into cover 5 minutes after discovering the vehicle game it takes no science major to figure out that hiding behind a tank under fire is a sure way to die.
