****ing NS-7, how does it work!?

Stop complaining or they'll make it a mini-NS-11A

No, NC don't shoot nor use magnets. They use electromagnetism ( Gauss/Railgun tech) to propel metal slugs/Projectiles at high speeds, therefore less dakka dakka and more damage done to target. Sadly this isn't reflected in some of our weapons. We SHOULD have the highest projectile velocity for all weapons, and a railgun. Not a saron, but a hard hitting slow reload main cannon on our vannie. And perhaps something for HA like the Halo Railgun? Basically TR: chemical propellants NC: Mix of Rail/ Gauss VS: pew pew plasma. So basically what we have in our mags/Drums are bigass bolts of tungsten/futuristic metal because judging of the magazine cap, and the fact our bullets are solid and don't need the extra space for chemicals. So where gunpowder used to be, you get an even bigger chunk of metal.

    Yes.

    Also isn't VS mix of railgun/plasma? (lancer/saron)
  4. Van Dax

this was my first impression too.
  5. UNSCSpartan051

The VS use magnetism to shoot the plasma, but arent railguns. Railguns shoot a bigass solid metal slug at high speeds, not purple blobs.

    SPACE MAGIC!

This is the answer to everything planetside.
  7. Sordid

Nope. You can see the top of the mag sticking out of the gun. No bullets are coming from the top.
  8. Linedan

They use magnets to propel bullets.

Which, I suppose, is why NC weapons do more damage in general. The magazine only has to contain a battery to power the magnets, and the actual bullets themselves--not the entire cartridge including propellant like the TR's conventional guns. So the bullets can be larger and heavier.

    Easy
The hole is in the side
  10. Goretzu

    Yes. :D
  11. Ganelon

    ....To accelerate the bullets.
  12. Takoita

Caseless ammunition then? Also, if that Gauss SAW is gonna reload ages, it could get a cool animation of changing the batteries or something - like Fallout railgun or something.

I own a Ps90, there is no way that that SMG's magazine would work the same as the P90's

You are thinking bullets, when stored, are coming out of the BOTTOM of the magazine. Actually they are coming out on the left upper side of the magazine directly into the chamber. How can such design work? nanities.
  16. Sordid

Magazines don't work like that! :D
  17. SturmovikDrakon

What, the casings clipping through weapons, or the SMG design?

The knew from the very beginning TR use cartridges and gunpowder and forgot to give ejection ports to most of their weapons... Now the casings just clip through the weapon wherever they feel like making it. It's very apparent with the MCG, Bull and Rhino. It's just a mistake that should have never happened in the first place. Now it's probably too late to even go over them again

I feel like I'm using my old cassette walkman every time I reload the NS-7.
