Reported for logic and safe operating procedures. But seriously OP, just stop sprinting around everywhere. Take it slow, peek around doorways, hot spots and objectives where explosive surprises are most commonly left and you'll be dodging explosives in no time. It will probably improvr your kdr too. I know most of the time i get nailed is because im too busy sprinting from A to B to have my weapon ready for threats.
oh. my. god. l2p really protip: situational awareness is a skill too. charging blindly into rooms is NOT a good tactic in 9 out of 10 times aaaaand buy flakarmor if you insist of charging blindly because that is your definition of fun, you can survive up to two mines fully certed second: 90 percent of all mines are placed in obvious places, just learn and remember them every single time i was dying to a mine up till now it was just my fault, no one else to blame but me. i remember three or four times when the mines were so cleverly placed that i feld the urge to send a grats to the planter why oh why does this kind of game always attracts whinners that always blame gamemechanics, cry op or foul the instance they got killed instead of trying to come up with teamplay or countertactics? its sad...
The only people I kill with my AP mines are infiltrators and light assault. Nowadays every Engineer, Medic and Heavy rolls Flak armor. Because it works. People complain that AP mines force you to wear flak armor so you don't get killed by them is like saying rain forces you to wear boots so your feet don't get wet. Also I never get killed by mines placed in some random place for defense because I either spot it and shoot it or it detonates under my flak armor. Many times I don't even take damage from them for some reason.
That loser, one of which being me, left the mine there because its important to hold points and create a defence, this is not some silly game like CoD where everyone runs in circles with points always changing, bases matter and I'm not going to leave points undefended so you can walk in and take them and if you keep dieing to them we are not the losers, if you don't like it then I suggest trying Flak armour.
mines dont really need any nerfs, the GREAT SPLASH DAMAGE nerf took care of most of the OPness of them. The thing I would like to have changed (and I havent a clue how) is to make it so infiltrators would stop suicide rushing with AP mines (oh and make tr claymores less crap).
That just means laying tank mines along with AP mines in places like towers, so when one goes the entire point area does. Just don't be laying the last AP mine when an infiltrator runs in..
finally,i knew someone would actually get sick of this, besides being a cheap way to get certs is annoying,i usually wait before entering so i don't get kill,so yeah we need ap mines not deployable at spawn rroms...
Made me lol for some reason. They're a part of the game and although I also hate them I still think they're fine. Equip Flak armor, problem solved.
Odd. 1/3 of my mines is a kill and almost 1/2 is a hit. Funny enough I almost never walk into an enemy mine, I never see them either. I find grenades to be near useless and a waste of resources.
You obviously sit in your tank all day, and are never the first to enter bases. Mines are incredibly hard to see. I often scanned the floor before entering a room, see nothing, walk forward 2 steps, BOOM! Bad game design in a nut shell.
The problem is they're fire and forget, which is just boring for all involved, imo either switch them to being like boomers, or allow all infantry to carry a couple of emp grenades to people can actually clear them. Becauase lets face it all these people claiming you should look before you enter doors are really just letting someone else go first in most cases
i agree with the ap mines i also find it funny that people think sniping is useful can be but its rarer then dating twins, shotguns are not the most overpowered thing in the game..... that would be me in an aircraft but they are a close 2nd. xD also side note i run nano weave 5 win every gun fight and still *if I am half asleep" live through an ap mine with 25% health left.
This is actually wrong, very very wrong. Mines still sink through the floor which turns them completely invisible. This is still a major problem. Mines are pretty easy to see when they are on top of the floor, as they should be. So as long as the mines are not bugged, then I agree. But at the current state, you are total and utterly wrong.
