Increase the experience for killing heavy assaults

    You are ******* high, why not more xp for killing engeniers that can repair, give ammo, use AI/AV turrets and use AI/AV mines?

    If there is a nerf to HAs, it should be this. They are a little too strong in CQC with shotguns and smgs being available to them in conjunction with overshield.

    I also think concussion grenades need to be looked at as well. They explode on contact to any surface. There is no warning to toss a counter concussion like there would be if it was on a timer like a regular grenade and you cant increase your dpi settings to mitigate its effect just a little.

    Personally, I don't think concussion grenades belong in the game. Game could become unbearable when the meta game changes to tossing concussion grenades everywhere.

    After all, running around just shooting people with your rocket launcher usually goes over so well in games.

    You already get your menace bonus.
    If HA's were such a threat as you state, that would reflect in the XP given already.

    Limited ammo (same for other classes too though)? That's why engineer is my favorite.

    I only play heavy for the hawke to shoot at long range targets otherwise I prefer not to use the class as its **** most people in nc prefer engineer etc

    I have a better idea, make HA get less experience for every action they perform, like 99% less experience, and make them lose experience every time they use a rocket.

    You just proved my point. That rocket turret is "specialization." The engie has to give up AI capability for the ability to combat vehicles effectively. Which is fair. You wouldn't want an engineer turret that kills both infantry and vehicles with ease.

    Well, the RLs in this game aren't so good at killing infantry, pre-adjustment Phoenix excepted. There's a reason heavies don't run around with only their rocket launchers out in the game now.

    I must be playing this game wrong. I don't aim for the target that's going to give me the greatest XP, or nor would I. I aim for the target that's currently either the largest threat to me or threat to a teammate, regardless of how much XP their kill/assist will grant me.

    Believing that putting a higher XP on my head will have more people targeting me or less people going heavy is ridiculous. An engineer rushes you but there's a heavy 10m behind him - quick, target the heavy!

    I don't understand why playing Heavy needs to stop? It's the backbone of an infantry force. It has no additional utility beyond killing things. If it's not doing that, it's not doing anything.

    Stop playing the game like it's a cert simulator and start playing it like it's an FPS.

    1. OP's suggestion wouldn't work in the first place
    2. This game is filled with baddies that will always pick the easiest/most OP faction/class. If HA's were to become less popular, these baddies would simply move to the next "best" class, likely Medic. Then we would face roving undead infantry zergs in every facility, and that would truly kill infantry combat.

    The AV turret is much better at AI than the AI turret.

    That seems to be a matter of opinion. Regardless of how well it's implemented, the intent is there.

    Give up AI ability? I didnt prove your point, I proved that you dont have a clue. An engineer can drop a ammo pack at his feet and shoot forever.

    This is the cherry on top. Do you even play the game? the rocket turret kills infantry and vehicles with ease.

    So many bads who cry when they fight a class that is made to win head to head. But see no problem when they provide crucial support abilities to give their team the edge.

    hey genius the engineer can still drop mines or use c -4. Heavies shouldnt have specialize in anything. Their only ability is to kill. They cannot heal, repair, hack or anything but kill.

    Thats a crap shotgun and most heavies dont use smg either
