I'm begging, with tears in my eyes, for a decent NC AI weapon.

    Blah Blah blah OP. I am happy with my hacksaw max. Its the most effective in a close quarters environment like it usually is around a cap point, which is where I want to be most effective. Aegis Shield is so much more useful then that stupid charge was. Fully certed it takes so much punishment. So for instance, when in a long range fight, having people shoot at my shield is a lot better then shooting at my allies. The enemy is wasting its fire while my allies take them out. So the shield is not a long range weapon per say, but its a long range tool that indirectly kills. But i find that too few people actually play this game with team play in mind. Learn to use what tools we have properly. I can pick any other class and be effective at medium and long range.

    Actually, TR and VS would not neccesarily need shotguns. SOE could just bump up the ROF of the existing CQC Variants of TR and VS Max weapons to a point where they have similar DPS to our shotguns, maybe a little less, but they would make up for it through sustained fire a little bit extra range. The point I am making is that just because it is CQC or medium ranges (15-45 meters) does not mean it warrants a specific type of weapon. I'd rather the TR's and VS's CQC variant weapons get a much higher ROF than it is currently for some means of extending the range of our current shotguns. I suggested chokes that reduce the pellet count to 1/2 (and if that is not enough pellets, 2/3 is also a good option) of what it is normally and increase refire time by 5%, and in turn they lower the pellet spread by 50% and lower the COF gain per shot by 50%. Those chokes would be available for every single shotgun (NC Max Shotguns and infantry shotguns). They could also buff slugs to be much more accurate but the point I am making here is that just cause it is a shotgun does not mean they couldn't add content (attachments) that makes the shotgun better at range for the sacrifice of the extreme burst damage the NC Max enjoys.

    Except it is. .3 seconds is with perfect accuracy on all shots. There are plenty of times an infantryman will sprint past you in less than that. An NC max will have them dead whereas a TR/VS will wound. It's also .3s less of fire you'll need to eat which will wear you down. That said, slugs can kill from 30m away fairly quickly. You won't have the sustained fire of the other factions but the damage isn't too bad. I wish we had the PS1 feature of choosing tighter CoFs at the expense of RoF.

    If you're missing with NC AI weapons you're not getting TTK as fast either. :confused:

    Goretzu, as always when you have joined the discussion I have told you that nobody is concerned about how fast normal infantry drops, it's about how effective it is against other MAXes.

    Came here expecting AI Secondary buff for the Enforcer, which I agree with, yet its another scatmax whine?

    You can have a decent TTK at 20+ meters when you don't instagib in 10.

    It's also much easier (in my opinion) to hit with a large cof twitch weapon than to actively track an evasive target up close with pinpoint precision.

    At 10m? Pretty close to it. But I like how you point out the accuracy instead of addressing the fact that twitch shots are easier than tracking an evasive target. A TR max in the hands of a newb is almost a free kill since you can circle around him and throw C4/headshot. Try it against an NC max and they just spray and pray. Chances are that at least some pellets hit.

    Then headshots should be easy enough.

    If NC AI MAX are using slugs (which is actually more effective than pellets DPS-wise by around about 10m) they function exactly like VS and TR weapon, except with a slow velocity and a huge total miss rage and tiny clips.

    Pellets at 10m are likely to partially hit, but they are also guarenteed NOT to 100% hit as well.



    I've never known anybody (that wasn't speed hacking) to be able to really dodgy anything at 10m though, it's too far to flank and too close for ADADADAD to really work.

    just increase the damage of the NC max to pre-nerf levels. With the VS ability and TR godliness post buffs, it should be even.

    Get higby's pendulum out and remove the nerfs to the NC max.. things should equate fine since the other two factions have received huge buffs and decent abilities.

    Nonsense, most MAX AI combat is versus infantry, not other MAXs.









    However if you really insist on focusing on MAX vs MAX.

    3 of the 4 NC AI MAX weapons with an uncerted MAX cannot win (even at 0m) vs a TR or VS MAX (they die in the 4 second reload).

    With extended mags on both MAXs it swings back to the NC AI MAX (at 0m anyway - range is still a killer, of course).

    With both MAXs having extended mag and full kinetic armour it again swings back to the NC AI MAX always losing.

    So NC AI MAXs are worse standard and worse fully certed vs TR and VS AI MAXs (bet you're wishing you didn't bring it up now :) ).

    So MAX vs MAX, NC AI MAX arguabley need a buff as well. :eek:

    LOL I love how people are always discussing MAX vs MAX with infantry farming load outs. I had great succes killing certed maxes by putting the AV weapon on my one arm in exchange for some infantry farming capabilities.

    If you're so serious about killing Maxes, then why do you insist on doing it with your farming gear?

    It's like AV-tankers whining that they get owned by infantry - change your precious build.

    Was expecting an Enforcer Modified thread. I am disappoint.

    NC MAX seems to have been getting shafted for awhile. I should blow the 250 certs on my NC alt to get a Grinder and get some first hand experience... but that would require me to play my NC character. Eh, maybe later.

    I finally tried Aegis and it's not bad at all. Deflected a lot of damage that could have had us take the point if I could have gotten a tiny bit of support from a ****ING ENGINEER! Why you hate me engineers? Why you hate your faction? Do I not repair you when you are a max? Do I not drop ammo? **** YOU!
