IDEAS TO IMPROVE THE GAME!

    Another idea: Empire Specific Assault Rifles , SMGs, Carbines, etc. like the common pool Tanto Carbine with 30 / 300 reserve rounds (balanced of course)

    Basically, so players have an alternative empire specific equipment with reserve rounds while at the same time being able to use something other than ammo belt if u wanted more ammo than the standard 30 / 180 30 / 210 40 / 200 loadout. So u have a weapon variant with enough ammo to spare in case u want to pack something like nanoweave/flak armor/shield capacitor / etc. while still retaining alot of ammo to spare. like how they have some MAX weapons with 600 rounds / 800 rounds in reserve. they could do this for more weapons and make them empire specific.

    And before someone like lordkrelas misses the entire point and tries to shoot down this idea im saying this idea is a 'buff' to the game, like the factions weapon arsenal in general, so be careful not to miss the point this time. Not something thats trying to rip something apart for no good reason. Especially when its just an idea.

    And dont get your head in a bunch when its the developers job to balance the 'ideas' if they ever considered them in the first place if they saw them and they got to the design phase in the game.

    Seriously before you say something stupid again im ignoring your crap posts since you dont see its the developers job to consider game balance before implementing things into the game not the community which just give 'ideas'. So stop following my posts around just cause i have good ideas keep your crap thoughts to yourself and come up with ideas alone or leave the thread and stop trying to start arguements on the thread when like i said no one gives a crap about you nitpicking peoples posts that are just presenting 'ideas' to the developers for them to consider adding things into the game if they may like them!

    I only~ take apart "idea's", when I believe there's no way the idea survives any manner of balance.
    As well, someone can suggest the idea of a pocket-nuke that wipes out an entire base;
    There's no balance that can fit that, without the entire idea not even existing close to it, to the point of not at all being it.
    Idea's are plentiful; Useful idea's are few.


    ---- Example
    Case in point; Weapons-for-all-classes, No balance is fitting that, without remaking every single aspect of the weaponry & class system -- Which means, it's for an entire re-work of infantry play, just to mix & match Class abilities with all weapons.

    --- Demonstration of Idea, I have no issue with: One of yours.
    Reserve-Round Magazines, I find nothing wrong with that.
    Would be an interesting switch-up, in some respects, if it wasn't basically identical to the original.
    As it opens new doors -- without invaliding the point of slots. Which means, I like it.

    Which includes what I say being torn to shreds, to applauded, to hated, to negative to positivity; Discussion is a good thing.
    Feedback of a negative sort, helps refines an idea , equally well to positives; And shows where it needs refinement.
    One can not make a better ship, by only praising her hull & sails, avoiding mentioning everything she fails at.

    As well, You seem a bit triggered: I didn't personally attack you, but you went off on an entire directed tangent on me.
    I also have given twice, Positive comments.
    I even joined in, with a suggestion based for Vanguard shield changes; I expected to be torn a new one on THAT.
    Not for the gall of commenting at all.
    Regardless, if the ignore function was used or not, at least I can say, I actually bothered to be civil.

    with that attitude we may aswell just entirely ignore what you post and your threads then .. it may be the devs job to ballance the game etc. but they don´t have to listen to you
    and no your ideas aren´t as good as you think ..
    there have been millions of ideas on this forum over the years and people discussed them together ..
    your attidue is what is childish here, not someone critisizing your ideas giving feedback ...

    never said they did but they do come to the forums to look at peoples ideas thing is ppl like u and him just shoot down ideas when that isnt the point of this thread. point of the thread is to post ideas if u have them not to come in here and shoot down peoples ideas that u dont like or think arent as good when u arent a dev that implements ideas into the game in the first place! figure it out. learn how to read.

    once again, u post an idea(s) if u have one. not shoot down peoples ideas when its just an idea. cant get any simpler than that trolls :rolleyes:

    u losers that shoot down ideas are spamming. the thread is to give the devs IDEAS to IMPROVE the game not its a thread to shoot down ideas when they are there for the devs alone morons! :D

    But what if one of the idea's to "improve" the game would ineviteably backfire and make the game worse? Just as a random example, allowing all classes access to all weapons "to create more diversity" while this would immediately cause only a few classes and loadouts to really be used? Should we let the devs accidentally make the same horrid mistake as the person suggesting it just because "the OP asked not to say anything"?

    A forum is a place of discussion, period. Creating a thread does not make you special and untouchable.

    Also, bumping threads is against forum rules. And I'm not sure if there's been official input on it, but general "wish list" threads tend to be aimless and unproductive. Exhibit A, this one.

    It's bad to ask everyone not to discuss ideas. As the post above outlines, not all ideas are good ideas. We "shoot down" eachother's ideas to refine and improve them.

    It's a beautiful mess.
    Darklight vs Pump-action; Yeah... Pump wins, let alone with clientside.

    nope, both wrong. like i said its an idea thread. u guys were trolling. keep giving into lucifer.

    devs just redesign the class system, bring inventory system back this one in ps2 is too cheap. implant system revamp is good, way better than the old one. do something with the suit slot so u can manage defense and ammo at the same time. example i should be able to carry armor and ammo at the same time, not 1 or the other, like in ps1.

    Learn some proper grammar first and we might give you the time of day.

    For now, I'm not going to read a post that neglects to use commas, proper capitals, and repeatedly uses deliberate misspellings as if you were sending a text on a first-generation smartphone.

    Oh, and then there is the needless insults. I know some people can be overly critical, but that's not an excuse to go off on them.

    "Just" revamp it? You realize that to do that you would need to revamp all weapons as well and probably rebuild something within the engine which could take a year? Its not like they can simply tack on an inventory system and have it work perfectly, or that they can allow each class to use most weapons just because their inventory can handle it. How is an infil going to cary a sniper without getting access to Carbines, AR's, LMG's and shotguns? Because those would be massively OP on an Infil. The game alreafy suffers from too many people taking only one or two classes right now, imagine how stubborn they would stick to them when they dont even need to change for a specific combat role.

    Implants are already blurring the boundaries. I have recently received a Minor Cloak thanks to a lucky alert won and I am amazed by the options it offer:

    give it to a Infiltrator with an hunter cloak and you have a stalker going around with primaries.
    give it to an LA and hide in trees: the kills you get in that way in Amerish and Hossin are hilarious

    Implants like ammo printer and health regen make engineers and medics almost redundants.

    An engineer with ASC maxed, Symbiote+Health Regen or Bionics+Survivalist is almost as tanky as a HA and has less downtime.

    And so on...

    Blurring the lines, but far from giving the abilities. For example Minor cloak isnt even close to real cloak. Theres too many downsides and differences. It's like comparing a bad pistol to one of the best AR's: at it's most basic level they operate the same but the difference is a magnitude of difference, and a pistol and AR have more in common with eachother than minor cloak and infil cloaks.

    Have you tried it or is it what you believe (I used to believe that Minor Cloak is a gimmick, but I changed my mind...) ?

    Get an LA and equip Minor Cloak on Amerish or Hossin, you would be amazed.

    Did you know you can move [creep] while cloaked? One negative thing about Minor Cloak is that you must stay still to let it work, but since you can move while cloaked you can actually cloak in a safe place and then creep to a good observation spot while being totally invisible. Imagine that on a tree, or a tall building. Couple with a long range carbine (Pulsar, AC-X11, AMC-5, Cougar, NS-11C) and you are a deadly menace. For sure Moukass would find that totally useless with his play-style, but for perching it is wonderful.

    The only bad thing of Minor Cloak is that "Decloak on fire" does not work.

    Let's put it like this:
    It does blur the lines and there's undoubtedly useful implants. But regardless of how massively useful Minor cloak for example might be for certain playstyles, it's not the same playstyle as a full infiltrator cloak gives you. This is why it blurs the lines, but doesn't replace or give full abilities of existing classes to other classes.

    True but the Developers would know for sure if they even decide to relook the system. I see what you mean about Infiltrator but Darklight Flashlight can help and can make them pretty easy to kill before they get the jump on you if they are specializing for close quarters. True about the 1 or 2 classes I see a lot of Heavy Assaults being picked I thought something like the A.S.P. System would help players pick more than just the strongest class. I see what you mean though but back in PlanetSide 1 people could specialize in what they wanted. In PlanetSide 2 you can cert everything but there is not much specialization/variety in a class. So if the Developers would update it like how they did the Implants it would liven things up a bit I think. They also have a pretty good track record with updating this game. Which is why I was thinking of wild ideas like that especially since they put the A.S.P. System in. Engineers can unlock Assault Rifles and LMGs and shotguns in secondary weapon slot. Which is what made me think like that. Already they are making a new continent called Oshur reminiscent from PlanetSide 1. So if they redo old systems like only being able to hold armor or ammo and not both at the same time I think that would be a step in the right direction.
