since the patch 4 out of 5 active players in my outfit have quit I am not happy with this.
  2. Bortasz

So I have reason to complain. They Add Mechanic that is unfinish and limit my enyojment of the game. Unfinished Hossin is not a problem. If I dont like it I simple not play there... o... whait I cannot not play there. My playground is lock.

Sorry but I want fight for right to Fight on MY continent.

And more people will leave this game because of this. They want fight on they favored continent. SOE MUST make other continents as good for MAJORITY of people to convince them to fight on other places than Indar.

I WAS TELLING THIS BEFORE: http://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/2954jk/pleas_people_stop_whining_about_indar/
THERE IS REASON WHY PEOPLE PLAY ON INDAR THE MOST. In short it is because: THEY LIKE IT THE MOST!!! Break the walls of esamir, Give us more canyons on Amerish to flank our enemies. Make other continent DIVERSE IS MINIMUM. The best will be making them UNIQUE in mechanic. The simple is taking down Lattice links for one continent.

    The only reason needed

Aside from that it gives cause and consequence to why you fight. It's not jus a case of the same bases flipping back and forth for all of time with nothing happening. You lose you actually lose territory and the winners gain a benefit until the lock is broken.

    There is an actual objective

It turns "planet"side into more than a fight on one continent.

It means players have to adapt and learn to new styles of terrain and bases. It provides a fresh challenge to everyone when they go somewhere new.
  4. Morchai

Indeed, I hear Cyrodiil is lovely this time of year. Places to fight outside of Indar abound.
  5. NinjaTurtle

It is sensible to add large features slike this in stages. I'm sure have seen how many bugs appear from even a small patch. This needs to be done gradually.

Also it allows for early testing of the locking mechanic so it can be fixed and tweaked as needed up until the actual lattice is implemented.

If it eventually works like it did in PS1 you will have the chance to fight for Indar, that may come if they decide to do it the same
  6. Bortasz

But now PS2 WILL LOSE PLAYERS. We already liking them in great numbers. People want fight for something. Now there is only mechanic that push us from one continent to another. Force people from they favorite places. This is not good. this must end. Without Playerbase PS2 will die.

Just the other day 2 out of 4 conts were locked all the time now it's a 1/4 but the damage is done. ghostcappers are winning
  8. SuperMedicated

the main reason is to make people get their ***** out of indar and use all conts
  9. NinjaTurtle

Players that leave will be replaced by players coming back that left because of a lack of meta previously. New players will become used to how the mechanic works because they have known no different so wont expect to play in a way that was never intended in the long run
  10. HadesR

The locking by alert isn't very well thought out ..

Locks should only happen when some has conquered 95% of the territory ... and that's it .. None of this " everyone's a special flower " reward BS ....

But you shouldn't lose the continent without actually losing it on the ground!

    Not this alert BS.
  12. Morchai

Yes, you can always count on an influx of players to replace those who leave. That's why populations have been so level for the past two years. It's not like they've had to merge servers or anything to concentrate dwindling numbers.

Players that come back will see very quickly that nothing change. They will see that they still have no meaning in their fights. Their is no goal. They will stay for a while, because is something new, and then they go away.
New players already must be a masochist to stick with this game.
    Look: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/the-adventures-of-a-sorta-new-player.191648
It is common to warning players that they will have Hell for the first week. Do you think that many will stay? You think way EU players scream about merge? You think way 2 US server where merge. Merging means that there are not enough players. We already have problems with sustaining population. This will make this more hard.
  14. Pacster

LOL...nope...there are soooooo many people that hated the endless tank-zerfest and airfarm that Indar is....but they had to play there cause that's where all the big fights have been. I hope lockout will finally break that wall and end that eternal Indar-boredom.
  15. TheFamilyGhost

No. When you're grown up, you can tell the difference between what is worth fighting for, and what isn't.

Trying to create an argument that will persuade businessmen to regress is juvenile and naive.

"The "Deal with it" attitude is for losers" ... spoken like an entitled brat. Good show.
  16. Bortasz

Majority of players like it. And now MAJORITY of players are unhappy.
    This means.
Majority of people unhappy = People leaving PS2 = Smaller Playerbase = Less money for SOE = Possibility of ending PS2.

And the rest could leave whenever they want. They where bore because they play for more than 1,5 year on one continent, and did not have any major content release. Can you imagine what will happen with WOW if for year there was no expansion?
  17. FABIIK

    - Yeah... I care enough about the game to worry about the dwindling player base and the (often) boring gameplay.

    - Entitled brat ?!? Entitled to what ? Speak my opinion ? Of course I am!!!

The solution to all these issues is intercontinental lattice and requiring 100% territory control to kick them out.
We need more metagame, not less.

  19. Pacster

Show me your significant statistics...then we talk about your "majority"....

In WoW you got one expansion about all 2 1/2 years...the last big one was around 2 years ago and the playbase is currently shrinking with ever increasing speed.
  20. Obstruction

i agree with your feelings, but i think it won't die from no players. SOE turns most of their games into total garbage eventually and then just lets them run on for 10 years. this will be no different.
