I have tried everything and my ps3 controller still won't work on my pc?

    I have tried everything and my ps3 controller still won't work on my pc?

    I spent hours trying many different things and downloaded/installed drivers, etc.

    My pc recognizes the ps3 controller but it doesn't function at all whatsoever.

    Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I going to have to cough up 25 dollars for a gamepad?

    I'm running Vista by the way.

    I was under the impression that no controllers of any type work in Planetside 2.

    I had to download and use a 3rd party app to get my PS3 controller working with Vista (earlier this year). I think the problem is specific to Vista. I think MotionJoy was the one I used, but I forget. It was a while ago.

    By the way, couldn't read a damn word you wrote on that charcoal black color.

    ok I had the same problem with borderlands 2 (that game uses xbox 360 windows drivers)
    there is a program called motionjoy that uses your windows xbox360 drivers and basically fools windows into thinking your ps3 controller is an xbox controller

    I use a program called DS3 Tool. Works great, even supports the six axis.
