Every night I get on hoping that something has changed. That people have taken one step closer to understanding how to play the game and conquer our enemies. However, every night I am just one step closer to permanently taking justice into my own hands. I have recently started TK my own factions vehicles and players. I kill engies when the don't want to repair equipment or drop ammo, even when they have been asked multiple times to do so. I play as a medic and when entering a base, I would assume people would have the courtesy to enter the door first so they take the attention of any enemies in the room, but as you can guess, they want the medic to go in first. I'm completely bewildered by their lack of intelligence, even when I explain to them, they need to go first. Most of the time they won't go, but that's nothing a full clip of pistol to their face won't fix. I take the greatest amount of pleasure when I kill a Sunderer that is vital to taking over a base. They have made me the way I am now. I do take joy out of seeing everyone get pissed at me. I can even understand why they may hunt me down and TK me back, but it does not bother me since I know I'm doing the right thing.

I will give you an example about what happened when I got on tonight. TR is over populated on Waterson and 9% world population over VN and NC allow them to conquer two continents without any trouble. I proceed to exit the warp gate to the nearest base to help take it back since the TR pushed us all the way back. We had a Sunderer and there was only about 10 or so people attacking this base. It was a single road leading to a very small base. The Sundy was parked in the mountains on one side of the base and the TR occupied the the mountains on the other side of the street. When I first got there, I assessed the situations and decided that taking back the base would be no problem. I proceed to run directly to the the base by myself and converted it over to our faction with no problem. Just had to wait for the timer to go down. I was attacked almost instantly by a TR HA, since that's all the TR can play as. I lost and assumed that someone would help me the next time. That didn't happen. Those 10 other people were trying to snipe from the mountains with our NC weapons. I couldn't help but looked dumfounded as I sit there and watched them. Mind you, only 2 of them were snipers. A little bit later, the Sundy had parked next to the base and only two other people would help cap the base. We were assaulted by two HA's (who couldn't even fight without there shields on) and my partners didn't help fight them. They ran. The Sundy backed out and once again, the TR took it back. This was the turning point for the night. Three times I had managed to run to the base just fine and take the base, but my partners were to busy with their laughable attempt at trying to snipe with NC guns at enemies they couldn't even see. I took my C4 and destroyed our only Sundy in the area and continued with killing the snipers and everyone else trying to snipe from the mountains. They didn't want to help take the base back. They don't reserved to be spawning there or to even occupy the area. It would have been free points for the enemy.

TLDR: I believe in punishing my own faction when they show bad behavior. My faction created me and now they have to deal with me.

The only time I TK is when someone blatantly takes me out, or when some genius parks a sunderer in a hopeless location and too many lemmings spawn there repeatedly and let themselves be farmed.

You can't read that much? How I weep for humanities future. Come to a forum to read, but won't read. Sad. Anyway, the game has almost been out for a month and it's not hard to learn what games have been doing the last decade.

IMO, there is one game that PS2 should learn from, and that is Planetside.
That said, I agree. Sometimes people just deserve to get TK'd. You can't just start mowing people down willy nilly though, that's just griefing.

Breaking all of that into two paragraphs was a good start. Let's see some more now! (didn't read)

This isn't as funny as that "Planetside 2 for Sociopaths" thread.

I'm sick of seeing engineers sitting behind their turret, you calling for repairs/ammo, followed by them getting off their turret and running away.
I kill these guys without remorse(that's after calling out 5-6 times while standing next to them). And I'm always tempted to kill the medics for ressing these idiots.

Happens with medics as well, but at least I got restoration kits on every class, so it's less of a problem.

Engineers just seem to attract the worst kind of player.
Between them refusing to support their team and hugging tanks so they die, I have little hope for every engineer I come across.

I only go after the accused.

Ok, so I did manage to read all that. Quite funny, it was worth the effort.

But you do make a lot of assumptions about intentions of your teammates. Sometimes for example I play as Medic because I like the assault rifle, not because I want to play as team healer.

I'm glad I'm not on your team though.
  11. daskleineviech

So, other people are bad because they don't do what you want. You are good because you actively hinder people to do what they want.

    Glad I'm not NC.

You're not alone OP. Whenever I fly in my liberator, and my gunner is underperforming, being oblivious to his surroundings. I just straight eject them mid air. If the gunner doesnt switch to the tail gun when we are getting chased by esfs, he gets ejected, IF we survive.
  13. Abomination713

The whole point of being a medic is to heal people. Medics that don't do their job are also on my TK list. The whole point of playing a class based game, is to do the job the classes are suppose to do and there are too many people not doing their jobs.
  14. Cronoc

Seems a bit petty. Online and off, I'm surrounded by people who are incompetent, but to punish them simply for that (I'm not their boss) is unnecessary. Simply go somewhere else and leave them to their incompetence.

Also, remember that the taking of bases might not be as important to them as you. There's a reason such long fights happen at the Crown, people like a sustained battle.

There are many times when healing/rezzing isn't worth it as a medic, I hope you are understanding in those situations at least. I don't risk myself to heal people under fire or run across a field to heal someone pinned down by multiple enemies, for instance.
  15. Grotpar

Because they don't do what's expected of them.

If you don't want to support your team, you shouldn't be using a support class.
  16. Goden

You know your teams medics are useless when you are forced to use your health-regen kit when surrounded by 6 medics because they refuse to heal you.
  17. QuantumMechanic

Well, now we're getting into discussing the (de)merits of the class based system. But I'm telling the truth when I say I sometimes play medic just to use the assault rifle. If some other class could use it then I wouldn't have to play medic.

Some engineers don't carry ammo packs. We have C4. Generally I pick engineer when im in a vehicle so I can repair it when needed. Now when my vehicle gets destroyed im going to be in the middle of the fight so ammo packs will likely go to waste. I would rather have the c4 ready. Im not the type of person to sit back and burn through all my ammo anyway though so I don't really run into that many players needing ammo.

I do run out of ammo on the infiltrator sometimes but usually im not near an engineer anyway.
  20. daskleineviech

It's my time, and also my money, I put into the game. I can do what I want and you can expect absolutely 0 from me if I'm not in your squad.
