    Hey guys, im curious how can i make my game look better. Im currently running on Ultra and it looks good but i want to really get the most out of it (ofc without killing my PC, so nothing like setting renderquality above 1,2 because thats killing fps). My current settings are :

    I really would like to turn PhysX on but since some GU's ago SOE broke it and it makes your game crash ALL THE TIME.
    So, what can i do to make my game look better and even more awesome? I got a nvidia card so i can play around with the graphics card settings there also, and when we are at it, pls don't post stuff from the Ini file what doesn't do absolutely nothing. Ik i got some stuff inside my ini file which probably does nothing and is just there because one guy thought it would do anything and i just copy and pasted it. Im helpful if you could sort this out also.
    So, im excited and i appreciate every (serious) help!

    Wish they hadn't banned SweetFX sigh. That made the game look instantly better in every way - nice, vibrant and crisp.

    Watched a vid where a guy had it on, looked awesome inedeed.

    if you put it to 5 it reverts it back to medium quality. try this:

    [Rendering]
    GraphicsQuality=3
    TextureQuality=0
    ShadowQuality=2
    RenderDistance=2001.000000
    Gamma=0.250000
    MaximumFPS=120
    UseLod0a=0
    VSync=0
    OverallQuality=-1
    LightingQuality=3
    FogShadowsEnable=1
    EffectsQuality=3
    TerrainQuality=3
    FloraQuality=3
    ModelQuality=3
    ParticleLOD=2
    MotionBlur=1
    AO=1

    It's a myth, i can clearly see a difference between medium and ultra lol.
  6. SgtScum

    I won't take either of you seriously till you post up screenshots and maybe a short vid showing the difference. o_O
  7. DiveXx

    • Up x 1
  8. SgtScum

    But that would require effort on my part. It's you guys arguing about it. -.-

    Above, and im still looking for good tips and ways how to make ps2 look even more fabulous :D

    It was confirmed by a dev that 4 is ultra in one of the FNO episodes chat.
    Back on topic. Putting graphics quality and textures to ultra with a 1.3 render quality make the most difference imo.
  11. DiveXx

    But he meant 3 anyway, and thanks! A really interesting fact, what is 5 then lol? From what i've heard 5 just transfers to 4 and then it's Ultra ;o
  12. Kronic

    Lol I have no idea mate, I just go by what I know I guess. I really wish the devs would clear it all up.
  13. DiveXx

    Yep, is this weekend a FNO or sth like that where we can ask questions to the devs? I really would like to get this answered.

    Oh ****, 4 and 5 graphics settings noobs.

    Well good luck OP, you're convinced medium looks better so you're ****** frankly, if you'll never accept high (3) as better than secretly-medium-ultra (4/5/6/7/99/othernumbers not 1-3), then you are going nowhere.
  15. DiveXx

    You annoy me with your ignorance.
  16. S0LAR15

    You have no idea how ironic that is. Devs have commented on these forums several times saying "graphics quality = 3" is the highest graphics quality. You might think 2 looks better, good for you, but it is in fact less graphically intense than 3. 4/5 = 2. Not just for "graphics quality", but all the other settings you've listed 5 for too. If you want to fly in the face of something that has been done to death 1000 times by people on this forum including devs go ahead, but no one can help you.

    0 is ultra for texture quality but it is the only setting it exists for. Shadows ordering is messed up, 2 is high. Other than that you're running medium. You're also not running max render range, which makes me doubt your render quality is at max (it's in the top part of the ini).
