Assuming that nothing in that video was doctored, or altered its obvious. I worked for a company that did explosive R&D for a while, and I got very close and personal with not explosives worked, and their damage potential. Being in an R&D department, we were much more interested in data involving witness plates and pressure readings, than we were in results and effectiveness of our given tasks.

If that guy lived, he needs to buy some lottery tickets to pay for the medical bills he will need to pay off. he could be considered one of the luckiest men in the world. The explosion originated from within the bus itself, so theres a good chance that the guy was cut up into a few pieces or more. If he diddnt get sliced and diced, the over pressure from the blast would be enough to kill him, or injure him for life. the survival percentage for the guy in that video is so signification small that you would probably use "powers" in your explanation. That being said, stranger things have happened. I know ive read stories of guys surviving explosives detonating within their tanks, and one guy even survived BOTH atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan.

Wow, well i feel stupid. I diddnt even notice that LOL!. It also seems that the explosion was a propellant and not an actual explosive now that we can see the bus post boom.

He doesnt die if you seen the full vidoe he is actually 100% fine

I posted a correction in a later post. the original gif was misleading to me, and the full video shows that he was wearing heavy protection and that no explosives were used, thus making it a much safer condition than i thought.

Personally i've seen people survive much bigger and more violent explosions than that. Generally speaking it isn't the explosion that will kill you, either the flames or fragments flung from the blast that can be lethal. I suspect he might have a headache and some ringing in the ears though

I saw that video years ago; rest assured, the guy didn't die.

That explosion looked far worse than it actually was. He only got a few bruisiers and cuts.
