Hello. I want to begin by saying sorry if this question gets asked a lot (Which i assume it does). I tried googling for answers but it's near impossible to get up to date information about this. I last played about a year ago, i had OK performance then. But now i'm wondering if there have been any improvements made in that time to increase FPS? I'm contemplating re-installing to check out the new map, but the decision kind of depends on if there have been any improvements to the engine. Thanks for reading, hoping for good news
The recent update has ****** everything up. Voice isn't working properly for a lot of people (including myself) and I'm frequently crashing shortly after starting up though if it doesn't crash immediately it tends to go relatively smoothly. I'd say wait a bit until these issues get fixed, or give it a go and see if your game is at least stable if you don't mind possibly having very limited voice/mic functions.
Still runs really poorly. Medium-high settings I jump around 30-50 FPS in big battles. My rig should be able to take this game at ultra at a minimum of 60 FPS. i7-3770k @ 4.3GHz 2x GTX 670 SLI FTW Edition 16GB DDR3
Performance updates have helped, but the game still has large frame deviations. My client runs great when in small battles on ultra, but when I hit a 48+ on 48+ battle, it quickly drops from the buttery smooth 60 FPS of the smoothing, to under 20. To keep a more competitive frame rate across all battles, I have to run my settings at medium. Here's my rig: 3930K @ 4.8Ghz 2x 780 in SLI 2x 840 Pro Raid 0 32GB quad channel 1866MHz Crucial ram @ CL9 Overall settings set to medium running at 2560x1440.
You shouldn't have trouble running this at that resolution with ultra at over 120FPS, install a temperature monitor tool for your CPU and GPUs, you're overheating and throttling somewhere.
I have, both GPUs and CPU are on a custom liquid loop inside a Corsair 900D... Under load CPU runs around 45-50. GPUs around 55-60. Both CPU and GPU utilization is reporting around 40-50% usage according to CPUZ and GPUZ respectively.
Thank you for the replies everyone. I'm rather disappointed though, doesn't look like i'll be giving it another go just yet. I just don't enjoy games that can't hold a steady 60 fps, especially first person shooters where your fps directly affects how well you do.
hi varasalvi , i had to dobble my ram , up to 16 . in game i need about 7 gb ram , i think thats tooo much . with fps i do not have trubles , but with fog !!! sometimes i can see nothin, very strange . have a nice time and bye bye.
Bad performace as always and after the servermerges latancy is way to high for this type of game. More players on gthe servers are nice but only if they upgrade them so they can handle the load which they don't seem up to at the moment.
After last update and recent EU-servermerge performance got straight down the drain. Nearly unplayable at the moment.
Hello again! Don't want to make another thread regarding my next question, so i'm asking here. People who have been active in this game for a while, been following the development closely, like blogs and such. Do you know if significant performance improvements are planned, now or in the future? It seems to me, that bad performance is a common complaint, and the fact that significant improvements haven't been made since release even with all the complaints, that the developers either don't care much about it, or more likely that the game's code won't allow it unless radical and time consuming changes are made. So i'd think that if they could address this issue, they would have done it by now. I'm hanging on this last stretch of hope that someone can prove me wrong about this.
Does your ingame FPS report CPU or GPU as bottleneck? I run a 4770K@4.2GHZ and 290X stock @ 1920x1080 resolution. I get over 120 FPS normally and ~60FPS in big fights, I'm usually CPU limited. You have a stronger CPU, but it's hard for me to think your SLI GPUs are a bottleneck...
Performance is terrible now. On a 780, i7 system in places where I used to get maybe 50-60fps I'm now getting under 30, which is awful to play on Changing/lowering seem to make no difference either :/ I think part of the problem may be the game now seems to run in 32bit only. Which means system resources are severely restricted.
Was fine last week , but again the devs did something and causes the game to look like it is running at 30fps even though fps is higher. It stutters, chops, lags and hitches. These devs, seriously I despair....
Don't even install it, seriously. The game is in a very bad state right now, even 2 years after release.
