So i just want to post that... so maybe i will help someone... i was reading forums for a log time now... and thats what i geader up...
I WILL UPDATE THAT POST WHEN I WILL HAVE MORE TIME... (i think it will be today...)

    mid. battles: 50-60+ fps
    other: 100+ fps

    2) Unpark your CPU cores: (with that i get from 10 - 20 fps more)
its everything in the link: http://www.coderbag.com/Programming-C/Disable-CPU-Core-Parking-Utility

    3) Razer game booster (google it)... (i get maybe 5-10 fps... and it just feels more stable)

    4) OC your CPU... i had overclock my CPU to 4,2 GHz... and my fps didnt go belove 60fps (in spown i had 140+ fps)...
  2. Mansen

Warning: Do NOT overclock your processor unless you know the basics of cooling principles and know that your cooling hardware is up to the task. This WILL damage your hardware if you are not careful.
  3. Exchequer

Actually it will not damage your hardware. Only overvolting will damage your hardware (beyond the safe limit).

Your system will have thermal throttling enabled. Worst case scenario the system shuts down to prevent overheating (e.g. at 85 degree cpu).

That said if you have a regular desktop pc overclocking will probably not result in a stable system. You really need a custom build pc for that (those have a bios/efi that have better auto voltage settings and generally use better components).

    @topic starter
The only thing "special" that your config accomplishes is the following setting:
    RenderDistance=800

Imo that setting is way to low. It has been said 1800 is the lower limit for using air units.

ps WD red series are not supposed to be used stand alone. They are supposed to be used in raid (5) arrays. By default they have TLER disabled. On single disk usage this should be enabled.
  4. Mansen

Such behaviour can still cause irreperable damage to most of your hardware, Exchequer - overheat shutdown or not. The ambient temperature in the case can reach a point where other components stop working properly, causing chain reactions.

Don't ever try to dismiss the risks of overclocking while not knowing what you're doing - the fact alone that your warranty alone is shot out the window as soon as you start tampering, which most consumers not already involved in overclocking realizes should be written in big red bold letters.

Not to mention software damage - your operating system really doesn't like being turned off at random - especially not during read/write operations on the harddrive.
  5. Exchequer

Chain reaction? Lol. We are talking about computers not nucleair reactors. Even if your case would get too hot the only thing that can happen is that components overheat and hang your system (or start throttling). Nothing will break down. Most gpu will throttle after 85 degrees but most chips are rated at max 115 degree. There is always a margin build in.

Only component that get hurt by high temperatures on the long run will be your hard disk drive.

It is a myth that overclocking voids warrenty. Just take a look at the sheer number of components that are on the market aimed specifically at overclocking (twin frozr gpu's, K edition cpu's 2133 mhz memory module's etc).

As a said: as long as you do not touch voltages there is not much risk involved. But again if your pc is not custom build you will most likely not end up with a stable system. Hence then it is not worth it.
  6. Loegi

I have renderdistance at 1700, and that's still usable in flight just foggy. Though I don't think any lower than will be playable in the air.

Nothing here that would really help me though, my CPU doesn't park, I don't have unnecessary programs running, or I want them to run, and I don't trust my CPU cooler enough to OC.
  7. Mansen

No it most certainly isn't - You may want to actually read up on warranty on such products before opening your mouth.

As for the rest of your useless attempt to dismiss damage I have only one thing to say - enjoy the blame when people come calling.
  8. Julfo

People will only have themselves to blame.

    so, about OCing...
i selected the AUTO OC ... (so the motherboad did all the work... ) but it was unstable (with prime95)... so i changed it back to defoult...
my temperatures are: CPU: max 55°C, GPU: max 60- 70 °C...
so there is no worry of overheting...

and the thing that i chaned also is RAM: i change it from 1333Mhz, 1,5000V to 1600Mhz, 1,650V (and they have max 42 °C when playing PS2 ).
  10. Žiga

can you tell more about that, pls... :)
  11. Žiga

ofc you cant OC if you have stock cooler... and as i said at the begining: rith now i dont have OC my CPU... (now its running on 3,9...GHz)
  12. Žiga

  13. Žiga

    and two more things....
update driver for you sound card...
and update AMD driver to BETA driver ...
