Its funny enough as after the latest patch you can clearly see bullets going out of the ally's head :D

Even tho im TR i think the VS max should have its old ability back and let it Jump just like ps1 all of the factions special abilities in ps1 were fine and i think should be the same.

The striker should have lock on and dumb fire just like PS1 did and before the PS2 band wagon guys jump on the scene saying its a different game! its not its a sequel end of.

Not sure what you mean. I know certain optics remain in the centre and don't wobble, but that does not bypass the additional COF penalty that WAS applied while you were jumping or flying. My reading of Higby's response was specifically that they were using the wobble to indicate the degree of CoF accuracy. There is still the issue that some optics wobble and some don't. Removing the ability to ADS while jumping/flying/sliding/kicking-a-pebble has not changed that.

I am utterly confused by Higby's reply :(

thanks for this.... but what about my vulcan? :(

which is really weird as the bullets spawn from the chest, because thats where the camera is...

The Viper isn't in too bad of a place really. It gives the tank two clear roles (AI/AA) where it shines, which carves out a clear role with value. I'd continue to watch to make sure it isn't too good against armor (doesn't seem like it is) but vehicles stomp infantry flat outdoors anyway so it's not terribly problematic.

If infantry were supposed to have balanced value outdoors, things might be different. But since the game is basically divided into indoor and outdoor combat ecosystems and each is balanced unto itself, it logically implies that since vehicles can only exist outdoors they need to strongly counter infantry so that you don't just footzerg everywhere and are never forced to change up. Every playstyle should come with a weakness that forces the player to change sometimes. For vehicles, it should be that when the battle moves indoors they feel unable to contribute in as meaningful a way (not to mention the fact that each vehicle has a counter to it outdoors.)

So you want shoulder mounted rocketpods... Ya that wont be a problem at all.
The day that happens, I will do nothing but play TR as rocket primary hero.

Thanks WyrdHarper. You're doing RadarX's job for him.
Maybe if the devs would actually post here themselves with this information people like you wouldn't need to constantly relay it to customers in the forums.

    Weakest excuse I've ever read.

In a recent battle against NC Higby, I killed him. It was pretty awesome. It was like killing the red guy in Ikari Warriors, he was the "important" dude that rewarded the player with super grenades. It was the guy you wanted to smoke.

I think killing devs in game should reward something more than just a smile. Hows that for meta?

Ooh, this could be fun. Every time you kill a dev, the weapon they were currently using gets slightly nerfed.

Alternatively, the weapon you were using gets nerfed. In real time.

Local resource starvation is really the only long-term solution for an unorganized zerg. Unless the unorganized zerg is bringing up vehicles from further back, they should feel the pinch of trying to pull non-stop vehicles from a small base. Organized zergs, OTOH, would not feel the pinch because they would be dedicating people to handle logistics.

    • Any fight of 12v12 or smaller should never feel the pinch of local resource starvation, unless all infrastructure is destroyed.
    • Territories that are cut-off from their warp-gate should have severe resource starvation (pipeline disruption).
    • Bases should have both resource storage (to handle burst-demand) and resource renewal (generators / collectors) that refill those storage tanks. Attacking forces should be able to destroy both storage and renewal infrastructure.
    • It should be possible to setup either portable generators/collectors (engineers) or bring in larger vehicle-based generators/collectors.
    • It should be possible to haul resources forward using either a vehicle or aircraft to help refill storage tanks faster or act as fuel trucks.
This means that not only do attackers need to have spawn logistics, but they also need fueling logistics in the hex to supply the nanites used to respawn their people, or to pull MAX units. It also means that a cut-off territory can't sit there like a canker sore, impossible to take, if you can cut them off and/or destroy all their generators / storage tanks of nanites, you should be able to simply starve them out.
    • Up x 2

    Same place as Enforcer cannister.

So its so good it can get up on top of Sky Mesa Skydock?
  15. Hoki

Well since that is exactly the effect they were hoping for, don't count on it.

Its a pity that between all the devs that frequent reddit and twitter and the 'community relations' guy (the only one we ever really see on the official forums), information like this has to be posted on the official forums by a player...otherwise we don't get to see it!!

I really don't know whats wrong with Higby, its like he's taking an almost childish stance of.....I'm not going to be visible on the official forums because players have criticised me for my absence and I don't want to look like i've given in to their demands. I mean, how hard is it for Higby to have the PS2 official forums open on his desk top, even if he 'never' looks at it, when he posts something like this on reddit he can just copy and paste it on the official forums......it would take what?....10 seconds?

Has Higby and the rest of the devs got some phobia about the official forums, they have said that the official forums is there biggest pool of feedback and yet we never hear or see anything from the likes of Higby & Smedley....what is their problem...I just don't get it.

The stated reasons I've heard for avoiding the official forums just don't wash ....something along the lines of . "I dont like the official forums because players can't insult me" .......hmmm...wanna bet? relax the forum guidelines and you'll get all the insults you ever need ..if that's what you want. Its still the most bizarre and odd reasoning I've ever heard for not wanting to post on your games official forums!!
