Here's what I think the upcoming empire-specific pistols are going to be...

NC:

TR:

VS: (With Beamers at the end so you so get Beamerchucks).

The VS one is going to be a bad version of one of the other empire's guns. You know, to keep with the theme.

Mark my words, we will get an Inquisitor with a chargeup burstfire.

VS will get a lasher pistol.

That would be awesome other than making Lasher redundant (why give up primary for corner/doorway suppression when you can give up your pistol as any class?)

Instead we'll get a charge up pistol which is an inanely DUMB mechanic for pistols. (you want quick finishers when you run out of ammo.)

I wonder how these pistols will be balanced against stalker users. I mean stalker is limited to only secondary weapons since stalker+primary=op. But these new pistols appear to be secondary primaries. I'm already excited about the fun my TR stalker will have with what appears to be an uzi.

TR=lock on bullets that does 2500 damage/clip
NC=shotgun bullets that do 2500 damage/clip
VS=3 second chargeup pistol (with no drop) that does 250 damage per clip

Would be awesome as VS sniper to have Phaseshift as primary and some chargeup crap as secondary to! Then the knife is the goto weapon to get the kills!

Have you read the Roadmap?

They explicitly defined VS's empire pistol as charge-up.

"With explosive damage" but that likely just means charge up has lasher AoE... which isn't all that great really when it's 3 seconds between shots.

You love it so much that you talk about it more than players who actually use it lel.

NC should get their mag shot shotgun pistol, the TR should get their automatic pistol like a glock or mini uzi of sorts, and the VS will of course get the terrible charge up pistol.

What the VS really needs is some kind of damage over time weaponry, things that do area denial through radiation or something that lobs plasma like the HE magrider cannon but working similar to the PPC cannon. I want to see technology weapons function in weird and different ways to allow different playstyles with the VS.

nope...the forceblade now has a charge up "feature" and only does splash damage

i really hope this isnt the case, might as well be the crossbow with explosive rounds
