Heat mechanics for Vanu weapons?!?!?1

    Ravens aren't the same weapon class as the comets or pounders. Falcons are. In that regard they're all pretty similar. Just in the same regard the Lancer(whats the MAX version?) is similar to the Ravens and fractures. Sure, the ravens are guided but the lancer hits targets almost instantly. Try to at least compare weapon classes if you're going to make bold imbalance statements.

    Well we do not know how it will play out? I mean the phaseshift is a sniper rifle so of course it gonna heat up quickly but a lmg with 150 rounds? maybe we should wait and see how it is ingame before we judge it?

    I'm not the one making blind assumptions here. You have no clue at all what is going to be like, so stop pretending this is going to be whatever is filling up your imagination right now. Wait until you actually have something to complain about. Its just common sense, man.

    Tested the heat mechanic the other day on pts. The betel did just fine in comparison to the butcher and godsaw. Don't worry.

    The Vanu need to be nerfed somehow. I don't even have fun anymore since the server merge. It's all Vanu. And it's all elite guilds. And that's not even mentioning their zero recoil, no bullet drop weapons.

    I actually found myself logging onto the Vanu last night during one of their constant 60/40 zergs. NC was getting rolled, again. And that shouldn't be that way. Players shouldn't feel the need to abandon their faction because it's either out-poped or their weapons seem ineffective.

    Now I see why Margret Crohn said during one of the early Friday night fight episodes, on the roof of Vanu Archives while firing an NC weapon, 'I can't hit anything with this weapon'.

    No ****, Margret, neither can I!

    This game is broken in many ways right now and if SOE wants it to last longer than Vanguard, they should address these issues, promptly.

    Anyway, here are some of my suggestions:
    Make all infantry weapons have similar recoil and damage.
    Re-balance the server faction population. (this is the biggest problem in the game, right now)
    Get rid of invisible Flashes.
    Give NC much harder hitting anti-tank rocket's. (that's the what their faction ethos is, isn't it -"hardest hitting weapons"?)
    -Last time I checked it takes a platoon of Heavy Assaults to take down one Magrider. Rockets are an antiquated propulsion system in the Planetside universe. So that should be a strong point for the antiquated faction. No?

    But, hey, Vanu is getting a heat mechanic.

    Maybe he can fix my weapons too, while he's at it.

    I didn't even mention the 25-30 FPS during high populated battles. If all those issues make me 'a bad', guilty as charged. Great game.

    I don't want heat mechanic to come out in version 0.5 and screw Vanu araxes/weps for a month before SOE gets around to fixing it. I want to make sure that it comes out ready to be competitive.

    Last time I checked, people were complaining that auraxium weapons were not competitive to begin with...

    If they proposed a revamp to all NC weapons, and a week later put them on live, albeit on auraxium weps, you would be scared too.

    Hey I mean the tempest is the cyclone with better or equal stats in every category. Weapons like the gauss prime are insanely accurate. The underbarrel shotgun for the auraxium shotgun is really good. (Sorry I only saw the nc auraxium weps).
    Unless they're making VS heat weapons like that, we're screwed.

    most people don't like the nc directive guns at all tbh they should be play guns for the devs in my eye's because you get them for free and already have the viable defaults

    You do realize that 155 requires the same amount of bullets to kill than 143 right?
    1000/143= 6.99=7
    1000/155=6.45=7
    Therefore the VS weapons would have a rather useless mechanic, lower mag sizes and lower rof.

    I know that. 167 requires fewer bullets, but damage is for the NC. When our RoFs are reduced but our damage models are SLIGHTLY increased, SOE could consider seriously enhancing our accuracy, control, or mobility, so that we have a distinct edge in battle. Sure, we don't have the damage of the NC, or the firepower of the TR... But we do (Or should) have super accuracy and far less recoil. That way, we are better in a certain way, that is, landing shots at multiple ranges with far more ease.

    I can agree that before the changes that are going live tomorrow, the directive weapons are basically stock weapons with attachments, but now they pushed them in the right direction by making them unique.
    And trust me...a cyclone with buffed stats is unstoppable.

    And lets just forget about 2.

    i got the cyclone and it's pretty bad *** i believe it, maybe they could throw it in a different direction maybe i don't know some kind of heat mechanic on that too let the dev's run wild with them, something really interesting could come out of it.

    I feel sorry for my fellow engineers who picked VS and not NC or TR if they add this to all VS weapons ...
