Today, we take a look at the new TR long range carbine. Do you like the weapon? Why/Why not? Have any tips for the weapon itself? Leave it below! Have any feedback on the video and things you may or may not want to see in the future? Also leave it below! Thanks guys - CAMIKAZE78
While TR did need a 167 carbine, seems like this weapon is way too similar to the T5 AMC and @ 1k certs vs. free or 250, it's an easy choice. The Cougar has better accuracy with the first few shots just due to lower starting CoF, but the T5 AMC has better sustained accuracy which fits better with the high TTK damage/RoF models of these weapons since firing full auto at least mitigates some of the TTK gap. Plus T5 AMC has slightly lower TTK to begin with and significantly higher velocity. Only reason to get it IMO is if you prefer the aesthetics of the Cougar enough to spend 750 extra certs.
The Cougar's a lot easier to hit with and has crazy damage throughput thanks to a 35-round 167 damage magazine and quick reloads. It's a little better than the AMC, mechanically maybe it comes down to preference, but a lot more fun. In some respects it's actually better than the Razor.
First and foremost, thx for the review. Agree with a lot of it. One thing i noticed with the cougar is the very VERY low dps/TTK making it nearly useless in any CQC or short range fighting, while only being ever so slightly better at longer range combat then the AMC - making the AMC nearly always the better gun.
