Until recently you were the only faction with 200-damage weapons, and you still have the highest number of both 200- and 167-damage weapons. You're also the only faction with shotguns on your MAXes and a true ES shotgun that's not just a common pool shotgun disguised as ES via a different sounds and models. And I never said .75x ADS was a faction trait. My point was that the moving ADS CoF on our LMGs makes them the least accurate of all three factions while moving, when they should be the most accurate on the move.
Perhaps that's because VS only have ONE LMG that is actually worth using, as opposed to TR/NC who have multiple.
I disagree. The old SVA-88 was overpowered because it did almost every LMG range reasonably well. Never the best, but always competitive. It was a jack of all trades. The new SVA-88 can't really do long range (and by this I mean beyond Orion range) very well in comparison to alternatives. It's not accurate enough any more. At close range it's a mediocre Orion due to the higher TTK/lower RPM. It only takes a minor nerf to shift a jack of all trades in to doing a jack of no trades, which is what has happened. I'd argue that the Flare is now our second best LMG. It's actually accurate enough that it can do beyond-Orion ranges really well, and doesn't completely suck compared to what TR/NC have at similar effective ranges.
Orion like SVA suffered of all generic nerfs: -0.75 ads move mult nerfs. -LMGs hipfire nerf They also had velocity and horizontal adjusted. But they keep those 0.75 ads move mult attributes and improved hip firing accuracy while keepping great ROF that makes them the best weapons like Jaguar/Badit/Zenith/Tar/Carnage/GR22/HV-45. They're more balanced nowdays, but still very lethal.
Yea, I double checked that. But for some reason I remember the Medic rifle update changing one of the existing 200dmg weapons in a negative way. I can't remember what it was or if I'm just talking nonsense now.
I was talking about primary weapons. I thought that was obvious. But your weak attempt at being cute instead of constructive doesn't refute my point: Pistols or not, you still have the highest number of both 200- and 167-damage weapons. You're also the only faction with shotguns on your MAXes and a true ES shotgun that's not just a common pool shotgun disguised as ES via a different sounds and models.
https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2...cember-17-2013-9-30-am-pt-6-30-pm-cet.162621/ I'd call this a nerf ... I almost got 4k kills on the orion (90% done shortly after PS2 Release), i know the difference. Orion with NV Scope was so freakin OP back then ...
Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I haven't really seen many call outs for LMG nerfs, especially VS. It is usually the vehicle weaponry Just a tip though, focus on your own game, not other players'. Each weapon might have similiar stats to one another but their uses vastly differ in different scenarios. Don't complain about a scenario if you aren't willing to adapt to it. That is the brilliance of Planetside 2 because of the variation of situations a player can get him/herself in to. Weapons from each factions are designed for different scenarios and situations, and other guns perhaps from other factions, will out perform you depending on the scenario. If you are killed a numerous times by a weapon which excels in distanced fights, i.e: +50m by many players, it is more likely the players have adapted to the situation quickly and are smart to use the strongest weapon available to them, or appropriate.
My favourite VS LMG is the Polaris. Poor DPS, crappy reload time, but god is it ever accurate. It's got the recoil of a garden hose.
"And" what? Did you read the thread? The answer you seek is there, in plain view. But let me spell it out for you. TheBand1t thought the NC were not properly represented as the "high damage and shotgun faction" since "everyone has 167 damage weapons and shotguns," and he was thus alluding that it was okay for the VS LMGs to be the least accurate on the move even though we were the "mobility and accuracy" faction. I was illustrating to him that he was incorrect in his premise RE: the NC and so his implied assertion RE: VS LMGs is invalid.
