Yes, I'm "GreatAtSuckin" on Emerald. Created the name to avoid/hide from a notorious TK who kept ******* following and TK me every time I built a hive. But anyways.... If this can happen, it means others are doing less obvious things. This guy... https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/5428444395220005585/killboard
No, he ran around and did it a couple of times. This is all I got recorded. Point is... its a blatant hack which means there is a hole in the clientside that can be exploited to the point of complete invincibility. Regardless. This might just be a trash character he's using to test with, who knows.... This guy wasn't being subtle about it. Now all you have to do is make it on demand and you have yourself a nice little perk.
Not that difficult to do, quite alot of high BR heavies in this game use similar to prevent them losing 1v1's and dying when jumped from behind. There's also apparently a way of shifting your hitbox location (to somewhere reasonably far away from your character) which provides the same result. Fyi one of the older hack creators for this game has just opened up shop again (paid cheat), so far its undetected with over 500 unique downloads, so expect to see even more of this in the following days.
I honestly trust no Heavy Assault or Infiltrator in this game now, they are the most go-to hacking classes due to their already natural and powerful abilities... it frustrates me to no end how many players are cheating(Specifically with these classes), but what makes it worse is their bratty childish attitude and their toxic "git gud" remarks. You will never meet a hacker who is a decent human being, if they're bringing up skill and bragging about higher K/D on top of being suspicious... they're likely cheating. That's all it is to them is bragging rights, they want to feel like the best player in the game(Illegitimately of course). What makes it worse are the players who attempt to JUSTIFY the use of cheating or exploitation. The other day I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting a Vanu Heavy who was one-shotting me in every encounter with the Orion. When I asked them how they were cheating they said they were not(A one-shot Orion is a little too blatant for them to by truthful there)... they said, they were playing from Korea and the latency is so bad it looks like they cheat. If that is how bad it can get, where you can practically have an aimbot without cheating, then something needs to be done. The only way to really solve that is to bring back official Asia servers again, but that's not financially possible now. This game needs to do better for it to get better, and it can't get better as long as there are blatant and closet cheaters. Performance can honestly wait, cheating should be priority one at this point. Unfortunately, the devs mentioned BattleEye, in their statement they said it will decrease performance even more, which is why they are aiming to improve it... only for it to drop again, it's a vicious cycle that cannot end without the help of the community, and we're all sitting around waiting for Daybreak to fix all of our problems(Most of them we cause).
Some now are claiming is just lag? Lag so bad players can be disconnected for 200m to a base cap, run in circles, right around players, be q spotted, show on mini map, take 21 shotgun rounds to the back and not die? Sounds legit
I am quite sure that many people run some variation of hacks. Extra HP, snap to shooter, no recoil and aimbotting to some degree. Does everyone cheat? No. Is it a serious problem with PS2? hell yes. What is the point? Being the best by cheating is like reeling in a dead fish.
How is this NOT a surprise? Everytime somebody says he/she met a cheater the reaction is "its lag" "its the hitdetection", or "he is simply better than you", nowadays known as "git gud".
It's not a cheat but an old and rare bug caused by warpgate invincibility, it can happen to vehicles as well and somebody posts about it here or on reddit once in a few months. That guy wouldn't have a k/d of 0.2 and 113 SPM if he was cheating or had any idea how to exploit it, his stats are waaaay below average.
Just because some people with ego issues say that it's lag or hit detection doesn't instantly make it true. Most of the time when it's lag or hit detection you can actually explain how the hit detection or lag caused what you saw was happening. If you can't, then they are probably cheating. Considering that all players saw the guy in the same spot and that the guy was perfectly navigating the world most of the time without rubberbanding he was probably cheating.
seems like you're all lagging the hell out, i'd be a bit cautious about the hackusations, i've had times where i've landed several pump-action shotgun rounds into someones head, then i've died, respawned and BAM i get the kill. that was the laggiest i've ever seen my server, but just letting you know, it happens. also yeah 0.2KD...
Your suggesting an ability to 'reel' no no no, its like pulling dead fish out the water with a net, after dropping dynamite to kill them:
Very strange vid indeed. Appears to be the invicible bug at first look. Then you see him die and slide around as a corpse, never saw invici bug players do that, that suggests lag, but thats some serious lag if so. I also noticed he appears to fly at one point, which also could be lag I cant tell if he is LA or not, looks like a heavy but i cant get the quality high enough my end to tell for some reason, perhaps its the work internet.
yes unfortunately it happens allot on the PC version of the game, its getting to be a bit of a hack fest, getting sick of being headshot while in the spawn sorting out my loudout while at the terminal from other factions, getting sick of people throwing c4 through the ceilings above to clear the room, getting sick of speed and wall hacking and aimbots getting sick of my vehicle just instantly blowing up while full health from being shot by an archer don't know about the new players that are only just beginning to come across these problems or have still tolerance left for this nonsense, but for me I'm almost done with the game, not because of the game itself because I enjoy the game, but the players which there are allot of nowdays just ruining the game for everyone else by hacking/cheating/glitching them to death is getting beyond paint stakingly annoing, its stressfull as hell when you cant do anything but stand at the back being support because no one will die due to them glitching lagging or hacking. and yes I just play medic or engineer now and become a spawn camp warrior when needed because of all the issues, its not just this game though,i like competitive games like this, huge wide multiplayer and coop games are my favorite, but when people keep cheating on them it ruins the fun,ive been putting up with it from games for like 10 or more eyars now and I'm coming to the point where I no longer enjoy gaming because of it,people have ruined the gaming experience for me,im trying to hold onto my compassion for gaming but its really hard when I can no longer enjoy games due to people destroying them. ill be on planetside 2 still, but when nonsense starts accuring I wont be able to tolerate it for long before just instantly logging off
Lag was horrible on Emerald last night. The guy in the video was lagging real bad.. And Emerald is full of hackers now for sum reason. Magrider shot my galaxy and blew it up in one shot.... bad hacker
It looks like this guy is either laggy or buggy, but cheating? He would be the worst cheater ever, just from looking at his characters stats and killboard. Also, if he would cheat to get an advantage, why did he not shoot back at any of you but act as if none of you were there? Ofc I don´t know, but this looks like bad out-of-sync issues for me. Please have in mind that I will not deny this game, like every other game, having cheaters, though. I don´t see blatantly open cheating often on EU-Miller, but reading this forum it seems our cheaters are more "modest" than the ones on US-Emerald where those blatant cheats seem to happen more often, at least according to the pure number of reports here.
