If ESFs are really the only reason you're here, why do you bother coming back? Find a game that you enjoy completely and not just in small facets.
When a developer tells the community they will deliver on something they should or they lose that trust, and they will lose that player.
they have pushed the esf thing back 3 times now lol. Last 2 updates have been very crappy on content.
Yes because rushing broken weapons/content to live is a recipe for success. It will come when its ready and some what balanced.
If you cannot deliver on a promise (i.e. lack of man power), then you should never make that promis to begin with. All we are asking for here is honesty. Thats it. Is that to much to ask for? EA was rated on of the most hated companies in the world last year by forbes. Their deceit to their community (as well as their ****** DLC program) was listed as the reason why. Companies, especially gaming companies, should do their very best to avoid this dilemma.
The PS2 dev team is pretty clear that its estimated release times, because they what you to know that they are working on so you can give a response. I dont mind it, i know how business works, and i perfer to be in the loop and having a chance to give my input to the devs before the just dump something crazy on live. It was voted worst company in an online survey. A lot of entitled gamers are ******** over EA, cant be a surprise. But you know what? EA is still one of the top dogs, it still sells ****loads of games, because entitled gamers never make good on their promise not to buy EA products - whine and cry and then suck it up when the next DLC comes around.
Well if they clearly didnt see it would take them longer then 2 months they shouldnt have released threads on a lot of info of what ''would'' have came in a week at prior time but nope here we are gona get GU14 half way to end of august. They had their excuse the first time they pushed back the update which was lock on not being ready. Well they pushed it back and made it a 3 step thing where each update would give us something so from 13-15 we would get esf stuff. Now 13 had the nosecannons changed and this 14 has nothing at all for esf according to notes. Going with this i have no faith 15 will have something for esf. If it does thats cool they're only late a month and a half almost. Now ppl come back to play because this BS is what all company pull so ppl just deal with it and keep playing because you can trust company's words as much as a hobo telling you the story of when he rode a unicorn to the moon that farted rainbows. I really dont give a **** anymore i just wish they would stop hyping **** up only to push it back. That kinda **** only drops YOUR playerbase and hurts YOUR game. Its all in their hands how they do it and so far they been ******* up. First the massive hossin push back then the other little things and now this esf thing. Sure its good to have stuff balanced and all but do you think this game is balanced? No game achieves balance because idk what the devs smoke sometimes. They listen to cry babies and nerf **** and listen to morons and buff **** sky high. They never try to test their stuff in game for a good play through to see whats what. The only way to test and balance released things is to test it in the game and then mess with it. Test server is cool and all for new things but they should test what we already got for balance updates within the game. People will play and people will quit. Games die and games rise but its all in the devs hands how they treat their community.
Good, keep pushing it back. Reverse maneuver nerf is going to ruin all air combat anyway and no serious pilot cares about the new weapons.

Oh the road map is a great Idea. The forward looking-community based feedback system is better than any other Dev team ive seen in the last 5-8 years. The problem is that the estimates are not estimates. They are outright fallacies. We are in the 8th months of the year. Do you remember all of the things on the 6 month road map plan? Half of those items are still on the road map 6 months later. Those updates that DID come, were pretty lack-luster. We still dont have a max flame thrower that was out in BETA. My contention isnt the lack of progress. Its the promised that are not delivered. I realize that SOE is working hard to fix bugs, re-skin items, optimize performance, and try to boost their cosmetic sales. I wont blame them for falling behind, of not doubling the size of this game in a year. My only contention is that SOE gave rough estimates, and Still cannot hold to them. They throw things off of road map at the last week, and dont communicate very well of their reasoning other than its not ready. Again, noone cares that progress is slow (no objective person), but if SOE wants to make promises, then hold to them. I like to hold them accountable in the same light as any other company or person. I would not want to do business with a contractor that could not show up on the dates of hire. The fact that is was VOTED is the most important thing IMO. it means that their status was NOT a result of some fiat rating system. it was based on user feedback. Its like having a low Ebay rating. That means much more than some baker telling you of his business practices. Yes Gamers tend to be VERY self entitled (typically the younger generation), but they ARE the ones paying the paycheck regardless. However that being said, you are correct in that most of them dont have a spine to back up their words. They still buy the filth, and then complain about it, much like the consumers of any other industry. The difference is that SOE needs continual income. EA, like almost every other game company, gets the money BEFORE the horrible feedback. EA lost alot of customers like myself with their horrible treatment of the community. Yes they are large, but they could be bigger. Can SOE take that chance? I would say they are MUCH better off making a happy base by SIMPLY being honest. All other issues can be resolved separately.
So would you like to have the broken patches from early spring back? Those were nice. I had good laughs when things never worked. I once lost all my SC stuff for 2 weeks, and then got spawncamped inside an enemy VR.

So GU13, the complete Esamir redesign and Lattice, all the main cannon changes (which is part of the esf update), and load of other changes, thats what you call crappy in content?
The problem is not the lack of changes here. People would have been fine if the estimated implementation timeframe of roadmap features are anywhere near accurate. The sheer over-confidence of the devs when they set these dates and the subsequent disappointment among players when things get inevitably pushed back is devastating.
