GU011: Weapon and Vehicle Changes

    If you read what PS2Freak quoted from Higby you will actually notice that he is fixing many issues other than tank spam aswell

    I have read what Higby posted, he ignores the fact that infantry are currently the best thing in the game. Need to kill a tank? Heavy Assault. Need to kill an aircraft? Heavy Assault. Need to kill infantry? Heavy Assault. For the first two, you don't even need to aim, just hold your mouse over it for three seconds and BOOM.

    Maybe infantry should have to pay resources for their respawns. That would bring the game closer to combined-arms balance.

    Also, the enemy won't have less tanks if the enemy owns the continent. The only people this hurts are the people who are already losing.

    I beleive they want to make the game infantry-based and decrease vehicle dominance
    A tank vs an Infantry won't win
    Resources are neglegible atm and dont fill a roll
    Vehicles are just too easy to pull

    Vehicles are just too easy to kill. We can talk about making tanks rarer when we make them something other than metal coffins. The only reason I still pull my tank is that I feel bad not to after spending so much time and money on kitting it out.

    Why not just take it all the way and remove tanks from the game? Of course, no cert refunds or anything, because that's not how SOE works.

    Yes i feel tanks will need a buff too especially since they will interact with infantry less in Esamir

    i want tanks to be buffed to the point of its like omg it's a rare tank.... that's bad maybe we should team up so it doesn't push us to the base and i'm not saying unkillable more like a rare challenge something the platoon will have to worry about

    i may even say give tanks more xp for killing one

    The biggest issue I have with this is that it doesn't mention any of that. Nothing about "Armor will be getting a noticeable increase in power" or anything. Just cost increases.

    Something tells me they'll be worth more XP to kill, too, so we don't rob Heavy Assaults of their XP for vehicle kills from inside spawn rooms and outside render range.

    Do NOT change MAX cost that drastically without reducing infantry consumable costs. You can't ask us to manage that many items with one currency.

    You must admit tho, this is kinda what the resources were supposed to do

    Resources are going to remain the way they are right now: Only a problem for the losing side. The real reason SOE wants resources to "matter" is so the resource boosts they sell will "matter".

    All of this could have been avoided if SOE would have listend and made the MBTs so that they need:

    a driver (maybe with a lmg that can be fired while driving with a limited arc for the unruly)
    a main gunner
    a secondary gunner

    But of course they did not.

    Myridads of peopel told them to make it so in beta.
    The Lightning would still be the tank for the lone wolves.

    Pulling out a max should hurt the wallet... I hope this change stops 10 people from pulling out burster max at the sight of air.

    Yes instead people will now pull 10 air at the sight of burster MAX's. Infantry farming here we come!

    by 50 i don't see that stopping anyone doing a ESF zerg

    and if that region has a zerg of 20+ like it was tanks?
