Just wanted to take some time to tell SOE that I appreciate everything they have put together for PS2. You guys are doing a great job listening to the community & working on changes/fixes that are coming in the future. Some times people forget that this game is Free to Play & you guys could have easily put a $50 price tag on this, but you didnt, and we appreciate it! As a PS1 player I was very skeptical coming into this game & beta, but I have to tell you I have had more fun the past few weeks than I ever have and I am looking forward to what is to come! Thanks again for all your hard work!
Totally agree. Might want to consider just closing these forums, though. For every one constructive post there's 50 bits of useless whining.
Or you know open more specific sub forums and let the crying stay in the cesspool that is general discussion
Yeah, every time i log on i have a great deal of fun. Even if i think some systems need work. Lots of fun to be had.
I don't understand why they did away with all the sub forums that they had for BETA. It was nice to have a TR forum and so on, they should at least add a complain sub forum so all the NC can go hang out there and I don't lose brain cells every time I go to the General Discussion...
I would rather have payed 50 bucks for this. The way the game is atm people have no investment to keep playing because it's F2P and the fact it's grindy as **** is not encouraging anyone to stay after the fact. And over the next few months the metagame is going to kill even the more dedicated players off if it isn't improved. SOE released a good product, but it isn't even near a finished game that will have a long lifespan, and here they are dedicating resources to new weapons and ****** cosmetic items(Yes, they are terrible SOE, not even I would buy them and I like my cosmetics) instead of looking at serious issues. My God SOE, get your priorities straight.
Completely agree - it's so hard to find any relevant game discussions, when all that's going on is awful players whining that they got killed by something and want that changed basically.
I think you just provided us with a prime example of why this forums is bad. You come in to an appreciation thread to spew your own personal view on how bad the game is doing or how it will die eventually. Please, just leave.
This game's release was one of, if not THE smoothest I have ever experienced. Sure there are some minor (let's be honest extremely minor) bugs that people see and complain about as if they're killing the game. I can't wait to log into the game every day because I can advance my character and experience new situations every day (more like every 10 minutes). Many people complain that the game isn't fun, but my guess is that they're the lone wolf types who think they can take on an army just because they're great at Halo. This is a team-oriented game. I run with an outfit that is well-organized and has some competent people who run "overall," which is basically just sitting and looking at the map, telling our platoons (yes, plural) where to go and what to attack. It means I'm constantly in the fight having fun. Yeah, well, you know that's just like uh, my opinion, man, but fun is fun and this game is just that.
Re-read. I said this game is good. SOE has done a good job so far. I'm highlighting the serious issues that need to be addressed before I think we all start patting them on the back for making a AAA game. I stated that I would have rather payed 50 bucks and I stated why. If you have an issue with that, then it's not my fault you have your head in the sand about the problems this game has. I'm not one of those "OMG NC UP BUFF NOW PLEASE" but when you post on a discussion forum, you invite discussion and debate. If you post here and don't expect or can't handle an opinion different to yours, then kindly **** off.
See, posts like this are not needed. They have Dev's working on the serious issues. They also have Dev's working on costmetic items & guns. Things dont happen overnight. This game will be a great "invesetment" for the future because the sky is the limit! Looking forward to what is to come!
Flaws and all, this is still a really good game. I'm pretty terrible at it and am not even into shooters that much and I'm still having a blast.
