Because that is what DirectX do, support all the graphic card, hold back the real performance with compatibility.
Yeah it does work. Looks quiet nice actually. The particle animations though don't seem very smooth and I don't think all the effects are enabled as they were in the beta. I take no FPS hit when I enable them though (560Ti GTX here) so that's something at least. Going to play with them enabled for a few hours now later on if I can and see how it goes.
Can anyone confirm wether or not it moves all physics rendering over to the gpu's (including that of vehicles etc), or only that of physx ?
Well the cpu load % should either be lower than before, if you are gpu limited, or your fps will be higher, if you are cpu limited.
Ive tested it - the normal physics still get calculated by the cpu, so no increase in fps using it. I disabled sli and set gpu 2 to purely run physx... only running that, it still had 50% workload... aka physx is quite heavy to run in this game.
Yup, I has test it, it is still showing PhysX>CPU, but the effect is great at highest, just wonder what will happen if the GPU PhysX coming.
What do you mean ? If you have tested it, then you have tried the "gpu physx". Or if you made the mistake of not buying nvidia, then the physx will be rendered by your cpu, if you force it on.
lol, so many threads I has reply I am using 650m I means the setting don't work, it don't enable GPU physX for us.
Works for me. Says Physx=GPU when I set it to show the overlay via the Nvidia Inspector, as I wanted to be sure. Also installed an old 285gtx and set it for Physx so my 560ti GTX is for the game only. Getting 70+ FPS in warpgate around Physx elevators etc., with everything on ultra apart from Shadows which I've turned off. Physx is definitely GPU for me, dunno what you guys are doing wrong.
Nope, open Nvidia Control Panel-3D Settings(on top)-Show PhysX Visual Indicator. You will see it showing as PhysX>CPU.
