So I do have a problem. My GPU is a R9 390 clocked at 1.1 GHz Core and 1.6 GHz Memory. My CPU is a Intel Xeon E3 1231v3 clocked at 3.8 GHz with 8GB RAM. . The temperature of my CPU never surpasses 64°C. My GPU will normally be at around 76-83°C. I noticed it doesnt surpass the 70°C mark anymore and that I get way lower FPS than normal. So I double checked. The GPU only ever reaches 100% stress for split seconds. The core clock fluctuates between 700 and 900 MHz. . I uninstalled all drivers and installed the newest Crimson software and the newest drivers. Then I checked if I had some kind of Energy Saver active. I dont. . And now I dont know how to continue.
I would not be surprised if the update did something that is preventing full GPU utilization. I don't know much about AMD GPUs so I can't really help there. In case others did not read the post this was in. My 980 TI does not see more then about 50% usage playing this.
The game is not depending on GPU. Even my 660 Ti is clocking itself down. So either deal with it or change your settings. Maybe downsamling.
Well it was at 100% before and I got better performance. Im going to check if my CPU is any problem today and report back
So I checked. I still dont know if its a CPU issue. However I just set everything to 5 in the useroptions.ini and my performance (as well as the GPU utilisation) increased. Weird
So it seems you were CPU limited before. Not that that limit is less a factor the framerate can increase and your GPU has mor work. Seems reasonable.
