www.gloriousarmy.com The Glorious Army is a small, laidback Vanu Sovereignty outfit. We have our own teamspeak server with up to 50 spots, and filling those spots is our ultimate membership goal. Although many of us have played in "military realism" groups, we are pretty informal and only ask that everyone stick together and listen to their squad leaders. We value teamwork and communication more than pure skill. We're all about balancing good vibes with a smart tactical approach. We're always looking to coordinate with and complement other Vanu forces, be they organized outfits or the battledrunk zerg. Our leadership uses the holy yellow text responsibly. The outfit was started by a bunch of Canadian veterans of the first Planetside, but we also have members in the U.S. and Europe. We welcome players (age 18 and older) from all backgrounds, ideologies, faiths, ethnicities, and sexual identities. Additional details on style of play: - We adapt to the situation. We have players who specialize in all vehicles and classes. One moment we've sortied an infantry-filled galaxy with a scythe escort, the next moment we've bunkered down with maxes and anti-air heavies to defend a position. - We like to complement the efforts of other Vanu forces. If a large force is assaulting a big base, we might take a sundy and cap the peripheral bases/spawns. - We always try to participate in the big events for the glory of Vanu. What are the general on times for your outfit? Is it mostly like at a certain time on certain days or are there always people on at all times? How many people would you say are on regularly?
Today's our first day of public recruiting. So far we've been filling up a squad on our big nights, but we eventually hope to be fielding four squads. Our main weekly sessions are Friday evenings, which means we get to participate in the big "Vanu Alliance" events, and presumably future Sony events if the Ultimate Empire Showdown is anything to go by. Saturday evenings are also big nights. There are a few hardcore folks who play frequently enough on weekday nights. Currently we're asking everyone about their schedules to see if we want to run alternate sessions. If enough people can play on day X, then we will make that into a thing. We'll tweak things as our numbers grow. We can't offer the big numbers of some of the other Vanu outfits, but we do have an enthusiastic core of Planetside 1 veterans and military realism players from "Darkest Hour", a World War II game.
