Give Snipers their own server

i started playing that game shortly after release. I never ever understood, why this sniper class is included.
    In my view:

.) Snipers do their own thing, and have less in common with all other players in that game. All soldiers are fighting - somewhere, far away, some guys are hiding and collect cert points by shooting others, without giving them a chance to to anything against it.
.) They snipe themself in 1:1 - or the skillless snipers do a bit spawnsniping. How funny and skillfull.
.) They are not implented in that game, only taking turrets or terminals over, give them sense in that game.
.) Give them their own server!
Then they can shoot each other. So they no longer interfere with the other players, they can do what they like to do, and there is no balance problems also, why?
.) I've been killed in a ratio from about 4:1 from snipers, that means 4 from 5 deads are caused by hidden snipers, i've never seen. So i had no fair fight. I want to die because i make mistakes or am not that good. Not because a guy is hiding somewhere far away and oneshot me and get points for that.
.) I tried out that sniper class. I was ashamed, how easy it was for me, to kill one enemy after the other. But i had no good feeling, because it was not a fair fight, i was just oneklicking the enemy out.
.) Why not a server without that sniper class, so all others can get the real feeling of a battle, without beeing shot from somewhere and have to respawn again and again ... which interferes with the gameplay in my opinion considerably. I guesss most players love to have battles where skill is needed to survive, not beeing random killed by somebody, far away from the battle itself.

Thats what i think about. What do you think about this? Am I so wrong?
English is not my native language.

In theory snipers can be useful. For example, if enemy Engineers are pelting armour with MANA AV turrets from long range or if VS HAs are doing the same with Lancers, it would be so nice if a friendly sniper would knock them out, or at least harass them to lower their RoF and accuracy.

Likewise, counter-sniping is nice too, to get rid of enemy snipers who are either targeting your own infantry or AV infantry.

That's theory though. I mean when you have a designated marksman as part of your squad who actually listens to orders, it all works out. But usually they act as snipers rather than DMs, and even then they don't take orders like how actual snipers should!

On a sig I saw belonging to a battard called Ballto21, I saw these posts:

Guy who Ballto sniped: Stop sniping, noob.
    Ballto21: Stop getting sniped, noob.

This sounds like someone got killed and is upset.

Snipers counter long range AV users like lancers, Phoenix, and striker users well or people just hanging out using lock ins. They get engies off their turrets when they are at a base, they prevent repairing effectively, they keep people from simply camping out on balconies and raining down av and other fire, they can thin out an infantry group running in the open, pick off pesky drivers who get out to repair if they aren't super aware, they can force people to hesitate and feel pinned down in someplace because like your post they assume snipers are horrible and crazy dangerous.

It is easy to kill ANYONE in this game, if you have even a modicum of aim and awareness of surroundings every class kills people easily.

If you're dying so much from snipers you're sitting in the open too much or moving in a way that makes you an easy target.

CQB snipers can be incredibly powerful, offering recon, Crazy burst damage, and OJK. a good CQB sniper is invaluable to a squad if you use them to eliminate a troublesome heavy before they pop shield, eliminate enemy AI MANA turrets in your path, destroy medics in a bad place and then also have the utility of EMP and recon.

Long range sniping is stupid as ****, and shouldnt exist for low BR players becuase they have zero idea what they are doing, and sniping isnt helping them with that at all. NEW PLAYERS SHOULD NEVER SNIPE EVER.

But hey, thats just my opinion. Id only ever take 1 CQB Bolt Sniper in a squad, but man would i be more then glad to have one.

Next it'll be...give those repair sunderers their own server. All they do is drive around figuring out how to absorb damage and repair each other while they cert grind.

So you've been playing for this long, and you're still getting sniped 4 out of 5 deaths?
You stand still way too often. I haven't been playing that long, and I get sniped maybe once every 30-40 deaths.

As for the people bashing on long range sniping:
You're wrong. It's just as valuable as a CQB sniper. Having been the long range marksman in several squads, I can tell you without any doubt, that a long range marksman can be just as valuable if not moreso. In that role I've kept entire platoons from being flanked, because I was watching as well as sniping. I may not have stopped the flanks singlehandedly, but I informed my platoon of their direction and composition, and they set up for an attack from that direction. Most of those flanks didn't succeed, simply because I was there letting everyone know that they were about to get hit. That is what a sniper should be doing, and that is also what you will never ever see on your screen. You may think they're just farming kills there, but theres no way for you to know.

CQB sniping is crazy fun though. My favorite weapon, hands down, is the Ghost. Nothing like taking a HA out as an infil in a face to face fight.

    Learn to duck ?

That's not meant to sound as arsey as it does but if you are getting killed 4 /5 times by Snipers .. The problems your end ..

There is no skill, to avoid being killed by an invisible enemy from a distance.
  11. Grandpa

Pls read my post before answering. Its not the point how hard it is to survive in that game.

Yeah there is, it's called serpentine. Ever watch football and see a guy "juke" the other guy and score? Same concept applies here, move in a zig pattern at a random tempo and you will be amazed how many shots people will miss on you.

This is also why good Medics will do the "Medic dance", which involves circling around a corpse as you're trying to revive it. This is doubly important if that dead body was recently dedded from a sniper. :p

Actually, yes there is. Firstly, situational awareness will help you to understand where snipers will most likely set up a nest (elevated positions, likely ~150-200m away, terrain behind them so that they don't skyline when visible), and even if you do get hit, you've got a directional damage indicator and a "guesstimate" cone on your death screen to help you figure out where you're getting hit from. It'll take an average sniper about two seconds to zero in if he's not already scoped on your location, so as long as you don't expose yourself and stay still for that long, odds are in your favor that at least you'll only take a body shot instead of getting your dome popped.

I'd guess that I've probably killed a couple hundred snipers who've taken a shot at me, just by knowing where that shot came from and flanking them. Many snipers become lost in that little world inside the scope and forget the value of displacing, and there's nothing quite like a little metal backscratcher between the shoulder blades to remind them.

Your last statement about the "real battle" what exactly qualifies as a real battle? what you determine based on your taste in play style as a real battle? or are you referencing real life where one of the greatest terrors on a battle field is a ******* sniper? because i have a brother that has PTSD because of sniper fire while he was patrolling on base in Iraq.

If your argument for a real battle is your taste in one then well its a waste of developer time and resources as people like you who hate snipers being there weather it be on your team or against it are a vocal minority most people either like them being there or are largely indifferent they don't care they know how to avoid their gaze and making a server for snipers or for not having snipers would cost more money than would be worth it for the amount of players that would use it.

Now snipers do kind of do their own thing but this doenst mean they dont contribute to a team overwatch telling you whats going on outside a point is valuable keeping engineers off turrets is valuable taking out deployables like landmines spawn becons AI mines is valuable even camping enemy vehicle terminals is valuable.

The problem is you dont come across very many snipers that actually do many of thees traits but to consider it just a sniper thing would just be ignorant as useless people play every class ever had a medic just walk past your corpse? a light assault C4 3 team mates and 1 enemy? a heavy assault not pull out their rocket launcher and shoot tanks? an engineer not giving anyone ammo that need it? yeah the game has bad players not useless classes.

    All FPS have sniping classes.

So, you have 2 options :
1 - Stop playing any FPS because you cannot handle the fact of being killed by snipers. Bad choice.
2 - Learning to take cover, listening to game sounds, looking at bullets' trajectory around you, learning to counter-snipe in quick ways (you said that i was so easy, why are you the one dying ?). Learning to use your LA in order to catch static snipers, learning to straff while firing (denying easy kills), learning to move more than you may do, learning to use the better equipment in relationship of what you're doing (anybody said Nano Armor + Medkits ?).
Learning those things in PS2 will make you more effective for now and will be useful in all future FPS you may play.
15 ennemy snipers in the same aera ? Why don't you hide in buidings or just redeploy ? No need to give free certs to invisible opponents.

Effective snipers are the ones who will focus highest threats to your team like ennemy snipers, ennemy Medics, engi turrets, give you radar, help you to get rid of HAs in a quick way. Snipers may only be here to clean an aera. After that, they may swap to close range equipment with EMP nades+radar darts and then.
It seems snipers may not be so useless that they may seem to be at first.
