Game does not load past 48% with new update!?!

I am highly disappointed as I signed up to be a member yesterday, and low and behold with the new patch the initial game loading screen reaches 48% ( occasionally 20%) and then freezes. I cannot even reach the lobby screen. For the love of god either give me my money back for signing up as a member since I can't play ( I had considerations that this was a mistake since I have already been dissapointed plenty of times with past purchases in this game) or fix this bug ASAP!

Surprisingly I have never had the game crash on me until now and I have been playing since the Beta.

I want to love this game but I always wind up hating it someway or another... Unfortunately this seems to be the only game I find vaguely entertaining in recent times.

Does anyone have any fixes for this issue?

Servers are just slow, minimise it to the background and play mine sweeper or something

Are you sure? I waited 10-15 minutes already and nothing happened. I wasn't even able to click on my character server if that is what you are referring to being slow? Also just upgraded my internet provider speed last week so it can't be that.

It's entirely possible that you're experiencing the result of a corrupt data file. Ty this, run your Planetside 2 Launchpad and log in, but do not press play. Click on the Advanced Tools icon (looks like a hexagon surrounding a wrench) in the lower left and then choose the option to open game directory. In the window/folder that comes up, locate and delete the following files

    PlanetSide2.exe
    UserOptions.ini
    SoundSettings.xml
    LoadingScreen.xml
    InputProfiles.xml
    vivoxoal.dll
    vivoxsdk.dll

Once these files are deleted, close the Planetside 2 window/folder and go back to the Launchpad > Advanced Tools/Settings menu. Click on the Validate Game Assets menu option and then press the green Validate button to have the Launchpad check your game files, and download any missing or corrupt files.

If your problems persist, I would definitely suggest submitting a ticket thru our support system so we can investigate what's going on, instructions to submit a ticket can be found in my signature. Once you have a ticket submitted, go ahead and PM me the incident #, and I'll be happy to take a look when I can.

SEO customer service saves the day!
I appreciate the thorough and prompt response as it fixed the issue. ( I would remove my previous rather rude harassing comments but apparently cannot edit after 30min...)

    Thank you!

Let me add my thanks. After the disconnect-debacle, logged back on to game a bit. Well thought i was. Stopped at 48 - then at 98. Followed the advice and easypeacy, i'm in!

    Thanks Jesse.
