Hey what do I do to fix planetside if it says there is a socket error every time I try to log in to the game?
I get this message when I try to start the game from launchpad "Unable to write to C:/Users/Thomas/Downloads/PlanetSide2.exe - http://pls.patch.station.sony.com/p...zs/37/345/1a9cda40045bc810b2ceccf24c6f9fb9a15. The file may be in use or you may lack the necessary permissions to install." I tried reinstalling the game to no avail and no error code has come up and this happened a few updates ago as well and that time I couldn't play until the next update came out.
Ever since the recent update I have been always getting G99 errors and it happens at 6% every time. I have made exceptions to my firewall to allow it to run, I deleted the UserOptions.ini is it? I am at my wits end trying to solve this problem.
i have this to nothing seems to work to fix it even used files from a mate that has no issues still g9 error disabled firewall security still same g9 error .WTF

hi again, i fixed g99 issue restarting winsock open cmd with admin rights, and type in "netsh winsock reset" restart computer it worked for me, anything else worked.
Are the errors saves in a file somewhere? If not are they in a dialog somewhere? I'm asking because PS2 has started crashing to desktop with no errors displayed on screen.
What does a G 29 Error Code mean? My game just crashed and I got a G 29 Error Code. Edit: The Launcher crashed now before even starting the game. Edit 2: Looks like G29 Error Code means that my client is unable to authenticate with the Login Server.
