Could the guys in the tanks do me alittle faver, now hear me out, Im not saying you REALLY have to try and not run over friendly's. no thats not what Im saying,,I know your not going to do that lol.

No Im saying could you try to make it look like your trying not to run over friendly's,I mean just turn you turret alittle to the left or right when your running over them, You can still see it when you run them over. you dont have to turn so far that you cant see it happen, Im not asking you to that, just enough to make it LOOK like it was an accident.

People wouldnt get nearly as mad,,they would be like, oh he was looking the other way he didnt see me. That would be really great if you could do that. thanks for hearing me out, have a nice day. :)

    Haha, yeah, I can agree

But, if you're on VS, mag literally sucks you under, it kills you even if it's stationary and you so much as have the nerve to go within a few meters from it, and, there are times, it comes landing on you from a shear 100m cliff.

If they nerf the magrider, then they will have to nerf the vortex that follows it, which, just so happens to ONLY kill friendlies but do jack **** if you run over an enemy (<3 Chasis 3)

But yeah, I have sympathy for you, the other day I was repairing a tank, run off up the side of the bank (not next to it, a good 20-25m away to it's side, and turn around and smack, same guy I repaired heading right towards me, hits me, and continues going at 50km forward without so much as a blink of an eye.

Did ask me "WTF WHY?!" when I respawned as a heavy and stuck a rocket up his bum.

After the first 1000 times it happened it was alright - now everytime I get run down by someone who doesn't even try to brake or swerve, I need to spend 200 infantry resources for 2 C4 blocks.

I not only take out a threat to my faction from the map, but I also save the folks he would have innevitably ran over later.
    Yes, I save lives.

i wish inf would stay out of the roads... and engineers don't heal me in combat, you are going to get run over if you are any where near me as I pull evasive maneuvers and wiggle my tank. The best engineers ive played with stay a little way away in cover and I always pull back to them and get full health in nothing flat, but I play very conservatively compared to other tankers so pulling back for that repair is practical.

EDIT: Also like 80% of the time I run over someone its either in a spot infantry has no business being or they just randomly rendered in front of me. Its really annoying when they get in front of my while im fighting... Im not a vanguard or a mag, Im a goddamn burger tank! I need to get in close so u being in front of me is going to be u dead because im not protecting your life when that juicy lightning or van is in front of me to hunt down and kill.

I just wish they'd give us back the V-V-M emote so I could at least warn them before I am forced to run over the people who feel like it's a good idea to run on a road in between armour columns. I'd feel considerably less guilty towards my grief lock if I at least gave the person a few seconds warning before I ran them over.
  6. Pemtaphalon

Are you able to run over enemies? so far I have been unsuccessful.
I do try to be careful when I drive my tanks, though the Vanguard is a hard thing to quickly maneuver when infantry run in front of you suddenly, I find Lightnings are worst though, as they drive at full speed wherever they go.

Maybe the tanks need a throttle system like the ESF's, actually that might even solve the Magrider strafing complaints if they have to throttle up to move sideways instead of just GO or STOP
  7. BengalTiger

    Let's make it equal.

-It takes a while to stop- easily several tank lengths for the Vanguard.
-It has very high kinetic energy.
-It doesn't have a pillow on the nose plate.
-Tanks also have a limited field of view, obstructed partially by the gun.
-In combat, tankers will focus on threats and may not even look where they're driving.
-If they're British, they may be on the left side of the road.
-They may drive without headlights on, so take a good look not to miss them.
-Horns cost SC, so few people have them.
-Lightbars and sirens ain't available in PS 2.

These lead to hitting and killing Flashes and pedestrians, who for some reason think they could just run or drive into a tank and then are surprised that they died.

Stop, look and listen. If it's clear, proceed. If it ain't- wait.

For the disbelievers, feel free to spawn a tank and drive full speed around the WG, right next to the stairs of the main building. I'll bet $5 that the first guy who runs down the steps will run just close enough for the tank not to be able to avoid collision.

Why not just give all vehicles a horn? I know you can get one somehow (SC I assume) but if we all had default horns we could just make it clear that we are rolling out

Easier said than done some times. There's plenty of places where the terrain isn't as passable on foot as it looks like it should be. Bases are another story.
  10. ScorpDK

There's two kinds of these. Those that drive around, see infantry infront of them and keep going... and then there's the second type, who stand in the middle of the battlefield, yell-spam "I need this damage repaired!!!", and constantly drive off when you reach them, either running you over or away from your repair range. Then they continue to yell for repairs. I dunno about you, but if I didn't feel it was my duty to repair all tanks, I wouldn't give two sh*ts about these idiots.
  11. KAHR-Alpha

Evasive maneuvers yeah... the issue is that people actually do that when they got three enngineers repairing them and maintaining them at full health even under fire. Tankers stop caring as soon as they feel threatened and run over their fellows. And if you manage to avoid them then you got to chase them for 20 trillion km before they actually stop and let you repair, even though no enemy has been able to see them for a while.

This is the horn I need

I wouldn't run infantry over if the minimap actually worked ;). That and please engineers stop sitting behind my tank when repairing, if I'm going to dodge a shot I'm not going to move towards it. This is why I repair from the side when playing eng. If it's a mag, well, gotta love russian roulette, but at least they aren't as bad as they used to be.
having 3 engs is rare, and chances are they never even noticed.

in conclusion, I've been roadkilled less than a handful of times where I could actually blame a tank instead of not paying attention. It goes both ways.
  15. QuantumMechanic

As a guy who has run people over in a tank, and been run over in a tank - it is clear to me that the infantryman needs to look both ways before crossing the street.

Yes the tanker can turn his turret, but it's much faster to look around as infantry, and you are also more agile being able to turn on a dime. A tank can't do that.

I dance like a b-boy when I'm an engineer so any tank I'm repairing can feel free to reverse or maneuver to his heart's content. Its my job as infantry to move/stay off the road etc etc. The only douchebags I have no sympathy for are the ones who:
    1) Mow down infantry driving forward.
    2) Magrider spastics who just "have to be in front" and will even drive over the top of their fellow magriders in the rush to get in first.
  17. VargTwo

Always makes me laugh at how just touching a allied soldier with a tank makes them explode in a massive shower of blood and goo.

Where as if i plow into a group of hostiles standing next to a sunderer at 70mph they dont take a single point of damage. And somehow carefully gets pushed aside or go through the tank.

You tankers are talking about accidents that are going to happen no matter what either of us do..

Im talking about the guys who blatantly run over friendly's. Just because your in a tank doenst mean you have the right to run over people on your own team. If you in a battle and you get ran over,,wars hell.

But if the guy in the tank clearly sees you, and runs you over because he dont feel like going around you ,,well thats not right .

And on the other hand, I was fighting along side a big clan one night, I was getting ready to cross the road and seen two tanks one in front of the other setting there on the road.

I thought, what the hell are they doing, then it suddenly hit me ,,, they were waiting for me to cross the road :)

I waved them on by and went on my way with a aittle smile on my face.
  19. The King

Yes, I did that yesterday. The dude in his magrider saw me but didn't give a ****. Most likely, ran me over on purpose trying to say that he owns the road.
Well, I got my 2 C4 Bricks, ran so far to chase him. Found his parked car while he was capping a little point. I shot him up in the face, put 2 C4 on his ride, and blew it up. If I know it's an accident, I wouldn't worry. But this guy did it on purpose. So yeah, you're going to lose your ride. I dont' care if you're on my side. If I think you're playing the Ludacris ( Move *****, get out the way, get out the way ) song in your ride running me over, I'ma blow you up.
  20. Zorlox

actually you caused the death of anyone that died to the player that tank would have killed ;)
not saying I wouldnt' do it but gotta take that into consideration also muaha.
