I feel like since the update my frames hover closer to 60 than before, even in big battles. Might be subjective though. Playing on Ultra (Shadows medium, Fog shadows off), i5 3570k @ OC'd at 4,2Ghz and a GTX660 if anyone wonders.
Having both AMD hardware, this patch did improve my FPS quite significantly. Pre-patch, inconsistent FPS in large battles which is really annoying. But they still hasnt fix the horrid screen tearing.
Is your FPS higher than your screen refresh rate? I haven't experienced tearing except when I have smoothing off and I have to play on my 60hz monitor.
My FPS seems better getting 90+ constantly, but theres this horrible hitching and stuttering that makes it seem like i'm getting 20, its barely playable like this.
no. its capped at 60fps. i m getting a slight input lag too, so i my guess its got to do with the new "features" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_buffering
I got a massive fps boost too. In large fights I was CPU bound, which no longer is the case. Since the patch its always been GPU bound and always been nicely around 60fps regardless of fight size. Which is a massive improvement from earlier where it would drop to the mid 30s in the largest fights. So far this is a great patch, performance wise, for me. i7 3770k @ 4.5ghz, 2xTitan, 32gb ram, ssd.
