[Suggestion] Fourth Faction: Aliens

And no, I don't mean like the human ones running around in purple tights pretending to be aliens.

Does anyone else think it would be cool? I think it would be a fun shakeup. Also for me it isn't because I want
to play as an alien character but rather that it would be fun to kill them.

The theme of the game is : cut off humans fight each other because they have different ideologies. Playing aliens would ruin that theme.

planetside 2 is a 3 faction MMOFPS game. end of story. no other reason to say why.

Why in the worlds would you want aliens in this game? What for? What intention they would have to be in war with 3 other factions?

lol I am asking hypothetically. A game can be anything anyone wants it to be. Think outside the box for a minute and think of the possibilities.

I agree. When someone cannot even put forth a simple idea without getting basically ridiculed for it by people who take the time to respond with one word and no explanation. Pretty sad.

I wouldn't mind seeing AI (or GM controlled) aliens as events. If you know the lore, Auraxis was created by ancient aliens called the Vanu. What if they discovered that someone (humans) had found their leftover stuff. They would probably send scouts to investigate and perhaps evaluate the combat potential of humans.

If for some weird reason they wanted to add a 4th empire given the trouble just balancing the existing 3, I wouldn't want to see aliens, they really don't have much place in an idealogical battle between 3 human factions. I could possibly see a 4th human faction arise from somewhere, but not aliens.

Thats something different and if setup with care could work. That said this is a SOE game

The Vanu ARE the aliens. Plus we don't need a 4th faction - not when the game needs a lot of work on the existing 3.
