For the Love of God VS Maxes are OP...

    MAXes are only OP to those in Outfits that don't know how to deal with them. Aka your outfit. The other NC Outfits on Connery don't have the same issues, sorry.

    Nah, im not talking bout that, I usually main infiltrators and when I snipe, especially towers, when vortex and lancer are being spammed, gets a lil annoying. Although you could be right or wrong, I dunno, I usually don't have that kind of trouble so I would not know.

    My bad for misunderstanding, but I've never had that problem mainly because in fights they are low on the render priority list so often you won't see them unless your right next to them.

    You think they are OP? You should come try the TR max units. The usually scare the unholy crap out of VS crabs.

    Vortexes have a charge up so you expose yourself for longer than ravens or falcons. Plus they do less damage I think.
    Something like pounders or mutilators are way better for ai.

    Vs needs ammo nerf .or give more shotgun mag size to NC max. Tr has enough ammo already . Both Tr and Vs have

    enough ammo to hold off entire platoons. Or maybe just speed up reload time on Nc max shotties.

    The only SOE face who plays VS is Margaret Krohn, who isn't even a dev, but a PR person. The head dev face, Matt Highby, plays NC.
    Have you been paying attention? MAXs won't be able to fire out of rumble seats.
    Most vocal=Most active which most likley =more organized, That's why Waterson VS was able to hold its own in the face of NC overpop. That's why Mattherson VS was so dominant that they had to bring Waterson in to help.
    About half of the players "chiming in" are from Waterson, where NC had a constant 4+% overpop.

    AI Maxes are the second biggest buzzkill in the game. the biggest was when the sunderer had its complementary ejection seat.

    The VS Max isn't OP. **** if anyone's OP it's the NC scat max...but that's a different story. Fact is if you wanna kill any max you have to know what you're doing (as infantry or armor). So you may want to create the following loadout just for this:
    -Heavy Assault
    -Fully cert Grenade Bandolier with concussion grenades; will yield 4 grenades
    -Get an LMG with 75 rounds and cert ext clip; should yield 150 rounds

    Then hit the max with two grenades. Max should look upward towards the sky. At this point start shooting it in the head. With 150 rounds you shouldn't have to reload. And the max will lose. In fact, it won't even be a contest really. I mean after I down a max this way it makes me feel a little dirty inside! lol.

    Also, If you are you dealing with multiple maxes on a point have a friend cert the same heavy loadout with antivehicle grenades instead. So you can spam concuss nades and your friend can spam the antivehicle.

    I should mention (in close quarters) concuss grenades have a tendency of concussing the Heavy Assault who through them. So as long as you have a few friendlies behind you things should be alright. If there's lots of infantry on a point things will be a little more difficult. Obviously more people equals more complexity. But keep in mind you do have 4 concuss grenades.

    Right @bullet010,
    The point of my post is that a VS Max > 5 infantry.
    Your "tactic" depends on 5-6 ppl targeting a solo player. VS have better equipment for solo play, hands down. I don't think it is fair to me to keep changing my loadout because a VS Max (who never has to change) has already killed me at least once.

    I am not in the habit of giving player free kills.

    If a player base posts more and talks more, it means that they are more dedicated to the game. That dedication will manifest itself in more dedication to the core team play aspects of PS2.

    I won't contest that VS maxes can take down multiple infantry, but NC and TR maxes can easily take down a VS max

    Right, I understand the english of it. I just can't see why anybody would believe it's true.

    Just looking through the number of "I haven't played in 6 months, but I know exactly what to change in order to make everything better" posts is enough to disprove that idea.

    So you think VS don't have to switch their loadout? hell, if a AI VS-MAX hits on a TR/NC-MAX then it is toast unless it's a long distance fight(which hardly ever happens between 2 MAXes)....or has to switch to dual comets in which case he will still definitely lose against a dual pounder or a real CQC NC-Scatmax.
    The only advantage a VS MAX has(while everything else is worse than the counterparts of other factions) is that the blueshifts can be used for CQC and (limited) long distance vs infantry. I don't think you will find many VS players that would not trade their MAX-weapons for those of the other factions anytime....and I don't think you will find many experienced players of other factions that would like to switch their MAX loadouts for ALL(it's an "all or nothing" game here cause we got to see the MAX as a whole) of the VS ones.

    The only way to solve this issue is for SOE to publish their usage and K/D rates for Maxes across all factions and servers.
    Since SOE uses the numbers to decide nerfs/buffs then show us the numbers and I'll be satisfied and finally ****.

    They aren't that OP. Get them in close and open on them with shotguns. Aim for the head. If you have a Hacksaw your golden even. Still...aim for the head.
