Hey, think about it like this - flashlights more cool, more incentive to use flashlights, more chances of cloakers being exposed, less complaints about SMG infiltrators reking everyone.

Jeez... I don't understand all the hostility people have for this stuff. I think it's pretty cool. Not the most important thing for the game right now, but it probably didn't take so much work to do anyway. Let the kids have their little flashlight toy, it's no big deal.

Since the soldiers in the future somehow thinks it's a good idea to use old hockey masks from 1970 in battle I don't think this will make any difference

I think this is a bad idea. I'm not against monetizing things and i do accept the fact that SOE need money to continue funding planetside but this is silly. Monetizing planetside should not conflict with the great experience it should offer the player.

If you dont get what i mean, imagine previewing the PS4 trailer with people walking around holding multicolored flashlights

Does anyone actually care? I'm more excited by getting 40fps on 8 cores running 4.5GHZ than a flashlight decal.
