Flash bangs surprised they are not used more.

    Read the latest patches, they got nerfed in terms of radius, conc. effect and duration (all and effect of the nerfed radius). they are still viable, but not anywhere near as good as they were

    Oh well, concussed enemys still run around like headless chickens ;), i honestly don't notice a real difference.

    Yes, just making a sarcastic post about all the tools people have on hand to counter shotguns, yet instead of using them, they whine... (not anyone on this thread)

    I found them rather useless really... just today there've been one of the rare moments I got fully flashed but I still managed to kill 2 guys while seeing nothing. Conc grenades are more useful, so are EMP (or were, rather).

    However they work as intended... anything else would be bad.

    I think the reason why more people don't use them is simply that they aren't as effective.

    If you hit very close to a target then sure - they are blind and helpless of a few seconds, but unlike a concussion grenade for example it dosn't really work unless you get a "full" hit. A partial hit just makes your screen white-ish but you can still see just fine and thus it barely hampers you at all.

    I think it might be a good idea to make partial hits also blind fully but have a shorter duration based on how close you were to the grenade when it went off. That might make these grenades more reliable and desirable.

    Wish more people used these. Not as effective as they are in CS but a couple flashbangs in a squad are pretty nice

    Great against MAXes in particular. Concussion grenades too. My favorite part of using them, though, is when you throw a flash at a room, you go in and takedown maybe 1 or 2 guys, while the other 3 or 4 TK themselves in confusion.

    Or you found a glitch and you've been exploiting it.

    I'm off work in a few hours so I'll be able to confirm it myself. Can you post a SS showing that they are free for you? Actually 2 screenshots would be awesome. One showing your grenade certs, and one in loadouts showing your grenade choices.

    Its not an exploit it is... an undocumented feature.

    If you restock grenades or c4 in VR it will carry over to the main server even if you don't have that item certed. Its pretty old so it might have been fixed.

    It's been fixed, though you can still use the grenades if you've bought them.

    Not as hard as the concussion grenades, just wish they were available on other classes then LA then we might see them utilized more.

    Never had them work well. I've had them used on me, but unless I'm practically standing on the grenade when it goes off I can still see pretty well, in which case a grenade would have done a better job. When using them I don't think I've ever had an enemy effectively blinded, they always seem to be able to see me just fine.

    Oh I so would be chucking those things if I had them on my engie. For the time I just suffice with UB smoke and the NV scope. Not as effective but also not completely useless.
