Fix/workaround to make the game utilize more ram?

As the title say, I wonder if there is some way to allow the client to use more ram. Or is it not capable of using it seeing as it is 32bit?

You can't force it to use more RAM, but if you've got RAM to burn you can set up a ramdisk and run the game from there. PS2 loads in objects dynamically as you move around the terrain, doing this will basically make that loading instantaneous, which should help pilots avoid things like towers appearing ten feet in front of them.

I think superfetch is meant to do the same thing automatically, but haven't tested it for obvious reasons.

It is not possible for the game to use more than ~3,5GB of ram because it is coded in 32bit, so unless they recode a decent portion of the forgelight engine it is not going to happen anytime soon.

Setting up ramdisk would help loading for sure, so if you have more than 16GB you'd really want to use this.

Superfetch is the windows (vista, 7 (and 8?)) proces that dynamically loads ram in and out of the pagefile based on the current demand of ram(the more a certain proces is used the more priority to keep it in ram).

I have 16 gb of ram and I have had planetside on a ram disk, only problem was that when running it, I only had about 800mb left which felt bad for potential overhead and stuff, and that I only had a trail version of the ram disk program, which was time limited. Anyhow, I have the game on an ssd, and I still have problems with the ammo towers, but I should check out the performance when running on a ram drive.
