[Feedback] Resource Revamp

    Its ok guys, relax this is phase 1. Read up on phase 2 and 3 if you get the chance. It involves alot more and will, in the end, be a good system....

    MAXes were always overpowered before, so the only reason we didn't have 50%-of-players MAX brawls before was players were bad. If the nanite change causes players to finally realize how overpowered MAXes have always been, so much the better.

    Ticks need lowering or Vehicles cost need greatly increasing ..

    It's just spam after spam atm and the ability to quickly chain pull vehicles makes their destruction moot for the most part, as it will be back into the fight in a new one within minutes ( depending on drive time )

    Ofc final cost and tick rate will depend on the final resource revamp .. But it's an easy thing to change in the mean time as a stop gap measure ..

    I have cursed a few times today when I went to the warpgate to pull an ESF but realised that I wasted my nanites on a max/tank a few minutes before, it takes getting used to. What kind of worries me is the significant advantage that premium and boost-users get now. You can literally pull twice as many maxes with a resource boost + premium as a F2P player could. On the actual battlefield it doesn't make too much of a difference because every faction has a good mix of F2P and premium players, but it does give a large incentive to get premium, which is possibly what they were going for.

    Ladies, gentlemen, do not forget. . .
    With Resource Revamp Phase 2/3, territory will actually matter, and ANTs will be necessary to spend the resource production, thus the depth of gameplay will increase, and one may find himself starved of resources by the enemy's superior tactical/strategic prowess.

    We were playing some combined arms stuff tonight, pulling vehicles, MAXes, grenades and a few aircraft, and every time I looked I had 750. It may be slightly too quick to regenerate (or costs may be slightly too high) at the moment.

    However, remember that the baseline we get now is the maximum once they start implementing base power levels and (please do this quickly) cut off bases not giving you resources. Being able to chain pull things at a full power base is probably a good thing, because that's what we'll be working to keep the power levels up for.

    That's all very well .. IF Phase 2 and 3 were added to the game within a few weeks .. But since we are more than likely talking months to see a fully finished RR then we can only comment on how " Phase 1 " effects the game .. And if it's a detriment to the game then it needs addressing Before whatever time frame the other phases are released at.

    Resources never were a problem from me, I pretty much always had resources for anything I wanted. Now I don't have to deal with timers, as well.
    That said, I pretty much always run with auraxium membership and I rarely pull vehicles/MAXes.

    I feel like this system rewards people who manage to stay alive with their max/tank/airplane. This is not a bad thing. Rewarding players for not dying and holding onto their stuff isn't bad. This system, because of the combined pool does force a level of specialization. The cheaper sunderers have resulted in longer fights which again, I don't think is a bad thing. The fights feel more dramatic, like we are actually battling over the point as opposed to running in and hanging out for 5 minutes.

    If the new system is so great, then somebody please convince me that removing HUNDREDS of my consumables was the breaking point of finally getting this game out of open beta.

    Somehow, i fail to see it. And if someone`s gonna bring the argument of how being savvy is soooo OP - I,ve been running whitout using things like grenades o resto kits just to save up to 40 of each for a rainy day - which virtually made those less savvy more OP than me in comparison.

    But then again, what do I know SOE, you`re the smart guys here who played everquest instead og going to collage. Panish resourceful people and bring some more communism to this game, it will be great.

    I love the new resource system. The old system was way unbalanced when your empire did not control most of the continent.

    Yes, agree, but how exactly saving consumables for later was way unbalanced?

    I do miss the saving of consumables.

    Resource gain will probably need cut down, or longer resupply timers. If you can live longer than a few minutes you can pull anything you want right after the other, all day. Vehicle zergs are bigger and harder to push back.

    Of course, I am merely appealing to them to not forget their true saviors. All hail Resource Revamp Phase 2 and 3! Aside from the obvious theatrics, I do truly wish the tone be shifted from 'DO THIS BANDAID FIX' to 'DO RR PHASE 2/3 ASAP oh and a bandaid fix would be cool I guess'.

    So why again dont we have 10-20 nanites per min till later phases are implemented? Were not PTS results vivid enough?

    I bet when SOE guys get kicked in groin, they notice that something wrong at 4th kick or later, cuz they are just THAT fast thinkers.

    SOE please reduce nanite regeneration rates. I feel like the usables like grenades and utilities are fine but vehicles and MAXs spawn too quickly. It makes it far too difficult to counter zerging when you can destroy someones MBT twice and they've regained enogh ninites in that time to get a third one.

    I'd love to hear now the opinion of all those who said "stop crying this is just phase 1".

    Seriously phases 2 and 3 will end up like the Max flamethrower.
