Brain-dump. NC-ASR The new Automatic Support Rifle gives the NC a competitive edge against many of the TR's blistering LMGs. Despite dealing low damage, its 50-round magazine, very low recoil, and 700rpm fire rate make it excellent for maintaining dense and accurate fire in hectic assaults. RCMB Spica The VS's Rapid Charge Machine Blaster fires at a whopping 800rpm, making it a heck of a light show in heated combat. This gun trades power per shot for shots per second, once again with fire density in mind. Fire Wake AMG With the smallest intermediate cartridge available, the TR created an "Assault Machine Gun" with a 75-round mag capable of firing at 900rpm. To heck with conserving ammo; throw as much lead downrange as possible.
People will want 200 damage lmgs across the board and lmgs with no dropoff too.. I like that instead of just changing around stats such as fire rate and damage, they're experimenting with the way new weapons work instead to give us different ways to play
it's 2 RPM faster with 50 less bullets by default! How dare you not give us a better gun!!?!111 I don't see why the promise couldn't be 750rpm with 143 model, I mean they gave the VS the anchor in the form of the maw, but I suppose that's "fair".
I'm no expert with the stats etc but OP suggestions sound more like ARs (e.g. trading accuracy for mag size). I recently got the Promise and it's tendency for CoF to reduce with longer bursts (IIRC) makes it very effective for me, then there is the Watchman with huge ROF with lower damage per shot (the knuckle-draggers TORQ9 ), plus the good old Orion / BG with 750 rpm and fast-enough reload / heat mechanic. Whilst HA is not my main class, I feel well served with current LMGs when I do play in that role.
In my opinion it'd be better to just buff the Promise up to 750RPM over 698RPM rather than just make another weapon. The Promise's CoF doesn't decrease when firing, it's recoil does.
Improve the Promise (either DMG model or RoF) would be great. It is a good weapon but it is "meh" in terms of TTK.
