Faction specific mines and how they work

BB's are not unconventional or high tech. It's a German WW2 mine, so that argument holds no water, not to mention that I nowhere stated that I wanted mines just like the other factions, I'd just like some improvements on our anti-infantry mine.

The problem with claymores is that most TR players have no clue how to place it. Well, i do. I love my claymores.

I never stated that I want different anti-infantry mines for my infil, I just want improvements on our tool. Flatter and lower, so it doesn't stick out so bad, wider coverage than the 80 or so degree we have right now. Like this:[IMG]

The bouncing betty was a spring loaded timed landmine triggered by a trip wire. This is a dist you slap on the ground they gave the name "bouncing betty" without anything in common with the bouncing betty besides its name and intent to kill humans you don't like. The TR claymore is still a claymore, directional anti personnel explosive.
The up side of the claymore is that it's directional. Place a landmine somewhere and it explodes when you step over it clearly exposing the mine to your field of vision. Hide a claymore out of sight, and it will kill you when it sees you, even if it was never in front of you. You could counter by saying the lasers give them away, but they really don't. I've seen the lasers of a TR claymore all of 3 times since beta, and I've seen the mines far more often than that. Their enemy rendering doesn't always work, and doesn't at all in certain graphics settings.
Use its difference to your advantage, hide them behind the corner of door frames, behind rocks, places that hide the mine but still have a CoF where the enemy is likely to be. I think they're much better than the might-maybe-kill-you-if-you-step-on-it-depending-on-your-lag-and-how-far-away-you-are-by-the-time-it-explodes-on-the-server proximity mines that you can sprint over unharmed half the time
