[Suggestion] Faction Exclusive Attachments

    YES! ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION PERCENT YES.

    I know it sounds horribly unbalanced but i assure you it's not, people. It would be literally no different than a standard LMG with over 200 rounds of ammunition. Even IF it's horribly unbalanced, it plays to the design and strength of the MCG, it's a bullet hose and should be treated as such.

    Another way to improve this idea would be to change the performance of the gun when this attachment is used.

    When using the Belt Feed System, the spinup of the weapon would replace the ADS function, you would have to spin the barrels preemptively to fire the weapon, the RoF should increase to 1000 rpm but lower the bullet damage to at least 100 at 10m and 70 or something at 60m. This could literally be the end-all fix to the MCG's lack of proper gun play.

    Anyone else agree?

    I wanted to give every one something good so the other factions stuff isn't automatically complained about.

    Can I have an attachment that will give my shotguns, tank, sniper rifles, etc. no bullet drop, cause you know "faction trait."

    Wouldn't explosive slugs on Canister give back the AV capabilities that were removed from the AI guns?
    I dunno if I like or dislike this.

    Please remember that this was originally posted nearly a year ago. Plus these ideas are a first pass, revisions are to be expected.

    Earned my +1; I don't like all of them, but you are thinking which is more than most on here do. If I at some point roll a character on Miller, I'd play with you and chat.

    Overextended mags is useless and I'd rather have just about anything else. TR already has more bullets and I don't let myself get into situations where I'm in the open with no cover and a long reload.

    I'll Brainstorm some ideas and come back to you, I'm not entirely sure what else pertains to TR's faction traits. If you had any ideas feel free to pique up, I'm open to discussion. Or in the mean time care to give a critique of my other ideas?

    Well Faction exclusive ammo types made it on PTS for the rocket rifle so theirs still hope.

    I'm gonna be that guy and point out that a horizontal compensator is probably impossible. The way a compensator works couldn't translate to horizontal recoil.

    It could be a futuristic gyroscope that keeps the gun centered, idfk, you're not questioning all the vanus ****. Mag riders and scythes on paper are pretty out there, along with spandex armor :mad:

    As NC is using gauss tech, it would make sense for the NC to have shotgun that use darts and not pellets. Longer range, less projectiles, hit harder.
    For example the NC max scattergun got 3 barrels. It would make sence for that weapon to shoot 3 projectiles at the time.

    I think that NC shotguns would be more like nail guns than shot guns.

    Would make sens to have faction properties on weapons:

    NC: slow fire rate, high damage per shot, high range weapons. Nail guns instead of shotgun (longer range, less pellet but better damage per pellets, less spread)

    TR: high magazine, high RPM, maximum spread (mean that weapon cant have a bigger spread than choosen value, mean that TR can hold trigger and shoot for ages, like the AI mana turret for example)
    (MCG should have a spin up time and holding mouse 2 should make the barrel spin (like TF2 heavy), magazine should be ammo pool but the weapon reduce movement speed all the time)

    VS: Less damages but no drop and no damage drop (like gorgons). Shorter range, bullet vanish after max range (like phoenix does)

    Its an interesting notion.

    Here's take;

    1 High velocity slugs seem like they would be fine. I'm concerned bout them potentially getting added on Maxes

    2 Explosive Buck - Gonna have to downvote this one pretty hard. As an alternative, I would suggest incendiary round burns the targets, keeping their shields suppressed an doing extermely minor damange for 30 seconds. if you get clipped by one. Iit can also do burning damage to light vehicles.
    3 Over Magged this is do-able, but will likely become OP rather quickl
    4 I can't see anything wrong with that.
    5 This is one is the "Get" for the TR from the system. Its also easily the most game breakable mod of the bunch.
