Extreme high latency on EUServers lately

Today I reached a latency of 200-250 ms on EU Servers, I see spikes up to 400 ms. It's incredibly high and makes the game unplayable. I had around 60ms Latency on Battlefield 4 Beta and around 70-80 ms Latency on Battlefield 3. This is so annoying. The highest Latency I had in Planetside 2 was no more than 150 ms, which was still playable to some extent. Does anybody experience very high latency on EU Servers lately? Is there a solution to this problem?

  2. Plunutsud pls

The EU servers are fubar: long log in times, lag, crashes.

I switched to Waterson with around 200ms ping but none of the EU servers' problems.

    Same on ceres

Mine tends to be 100 - 200 on Miller. Though it did go up to 6000 earlier :S

I get 90-100 on Cobalt, with pretty nasty lag spikes and hitching. I only get 140 on Waterson with very little lag and no hitching.

    Something wrong there...

    155 on ceres.
Its like a us server :/

oh miller ...I live far away so 200ms for me is normal, its not unplayable (for me), but recently its been going up to 500 - 600 during prime times and going out of sync then everything starts warping everywhere...atm i can only play after prime time has ended into the early morinngs. I hope SOE can at least address the issue.

I stated that I had lag spikes up to 400 ms, but it's actually around 600 ms.

EU servers are screwed, I'm getting 60-100MS ping to Miller and a pretty much stable 115MS to Waterson.. Before SOE say it's our connections, I'm usually sitting around the 80-90ms mark for US east coast servers and 15-30ms for EU servers

This lag + client side hit detection really screws you over

Wrote in another thread that I had between 70-90 ping, that was in the off hours.

Now during whats probably "prime" EU time im getting 90-140ms on Miller.... at the time where I got 70-90ms on Miller I also tested a US server and had like 170ms and considering the very late night/early morning hour it was probably close to US prime time.

Pinging close to as much to the EU servers during prime time as the US servers at prime time is.. not good, putting it very kindly.
Some time ago I tried playing on a US server and was amazed that it felt just as the EU server, perhaps a little more lag but at the same time it felt more "smooth" somehow, people actually died when you shot them not like EU sometimes when you plonk a headshot with a bolt rifle and they take 2-3 steps before falling over, doesnt happen all the time but still happens.

In general I felt the US server was a bit more responsive to everything, I kinda felt that I was the one lagging not the server wich is the other way around I feel with the EU servers.

Edit: Started playing and now.. disconnected from server, great I was totally not flying a half full galaxy so unless everyone just disconnected they crashed :(

Edit #2: aaaand seeing that Miller is now UNAVAILABLE, I guess everyone got disconnected.

Another day, another Prime Time, my latency goes between 250-500 ms with spikes up to 1000 ms. If SOE wants my money, they really should change the Company that handles their EU Servers. (PRO7)

Edit: I just saw a Lagspike of 25000 ms. Nice job SOE! I remember playing this game with a latency under 80 ms.

Yeap, literally cannot play infantry tonight with this lag, my ping to miller used to be 30ms...

Weirdly, after turning my modem off and on, restarting my PC and installing the latest Nvidia Graphic Cards Driver released today, I got a latency around 120 ms on Cobalt. It must be the Nanites working.

It's a sign the servers is about to pop. Miller was just doing it, I logged off before it crashed. Played a decent amount tonight, figured I would try and reduce the load!

i noticed something odd, when i ping miller manually (cmd ping 195.33.132.172) i get a nice 19ms ping.
when i check in game on the tab menu its jumping btw 70-200ms.
    whats up whit that?

Latency has probably always been crapy like this. Latency meter ingame and pinging a server from the console are different pairs of socks.

What bothers me the most is that the ping is so unstable wich generally a sign that the server/network is overloaded.

Even when it shows 60-70ms it sometimes spikes up to 90-100ms for short durations, thats not normal and worse than having a constant 90ms ping because sometimes the spikes are much higher than 100ms. Everything just becomes so random.
