Primary job of anti-ESF noseguns is to stop air to ground... but you can't go within sight of an infantry battle or you get locked on and lsoe 2/3 your health. Meanwhile, the gorundpounders just abuse cover like always and farm just as much because half the problem with A2G is that infantry don't get to lock them on before they die.
