Set a game mode where as a platoon, you have the option to make the members of your faction the enemy, or create alliances with them. I would like to see how a faction would match up if they fought each other.
I have an idea similar to this, IN A WAY. The alert is 1/4 over. The TR is rayping everyone. So, the NC and the VS are forced to fight alongside each other. What happens is simple, upon killing a Terran soldier, or assisting in killing a Terran soldier, or doing ANYTHING that hampers with the operations of the Terran Republic, the NC and VS receive double the XP. Now, whenever a VS soldier shoots a NC soldier, the NC soldier is worth very little XP, only 1/10 of normal XP, and can take three times the amount of damage. Same goes for vehicles. Also, kills DO NOT count when killing an allied enemy soldier, and so do deaths. Also, you can have inter-factional squads. In order for this whole event to occur, an AI decides whether or not it should. There is a 50% percent chance it can or can not occur. That's pretty much it.
You obvjously dont play on Connery. Every alert is the NC vs the VS/TR alliance. They go out of their way not to fight each other.
You can kind of already do this... just jump on the Test Server. TAS and VCO have a skirmish coming up I think. None of us get to play as NC, and instead we each pick a different faction. And then we go at it. Since the Test Server is usually deserted, you don't even have other people trying to butt in during the fight. Plus the free certs put everyone on an equal footing.
It's almost as if in the real world, out-numbered forces join together to fight a numerically and materially superior foe. Mental.
I play on Emerald, and I am SLIGHTLY biased against them. Some of your teammates are absolute idiots.
NC have 33% pop but have to fight the other 2 factions at once. Plus where are you getting numerically superior?
Oh. Thank God, my hatred for most TR is justified. Of course some Terran players are OVERWHELMINGLY nice, and are some of the finest players I've ever seen.
