Good news everyone. This latest PTS patch has resolved the problem that's been reported with the EMP grenade. It appears to be back entirely to it's Pre PU-02 state. (if you don't know what I'm talking about: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2...port-on-the-emp-grenade-needs-upvotes.168468/ ) Thanks to everyone that supported the bug report thread and that reported it in game.
Not sure, but I believe that was a bug with the mines more than with the EMP, as the splash damage from many sources simply didn't register on them. In fact the only AoE damage to could effect them was the splash component on player fired projectiles. (rockets, vehicle weaponry, UB grenade launchers) Not in a situation where I can log in and check it out atm, but I'll get around to it. Though you can check it for yourself if you want. All you really need to do is jump into VR, throw down a pile of mines and throw a frag at them. If the blast sets them off then the issue has been addressed, and it's almost certain the EMP would do so as well.
I don't remember them blowing up the recon darts or beacons. Pretty nice touch if it works right. Should be nice for getting those beacons in the hard to reach places. Still hoping they put the XP for assist kill back in.
