I'll post a few names from Waterson. These are men/women who hilariously outclass middling folk like myself. Even good pilots can be the victims of ganks or group tactics. These guys have murdered me with consistency, whether alone or with allied backup at my side.

    VS

    Sonahit: https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/5428011263335670801

This man is the greatest scythe pilot I have seen. He regularly engages groups of enemies at what appear to be near suicidal odds. He has excellent nosegun accuracy, and keen spatial awareness. If he sees you, and you are not the most expert of dogfighters, prepare to die.

    Celebrisnexterra: https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/5428056629529800481

Also from OPTR, Celebris is a liberator pilot of skill and distinction. He knows how to make his beast dance like a fighter and if you permit him more than a second of line of sight on your fighter he will tank bust you into oblivion. He is not perhaps the most terrifying liberator pilot on the server, but his gunners are usually good and he is a foolish target to attack alone.

    AemiliusPaulus: https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/5428077643323946817/

Seen more often in his mag, Paulus is nonetheless an excellent pilot. Paulus is also OPTR, and he and Sonahit sometimes embark upon a ritualistic death orgy where broken plane parts rain from the sky, sometimes killing my medic and proving that there is no escape when the sky gods are angry.

    Frizzz: https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/5428010618039649409/vehicles

As with most of ZAPS, Frizzz has hundreds of hours in his scythe. He stands here for all ZAPS pilots as an exemplar of the outfit. Beware this tag if you are alone, engage with friends and massed tomcats. ZAPS is not the leviathan of the air it once was, but individually and in the small squads we see today, they are still highly dangerous.

    TR

No clue. I hear Sinist is pretty good. He kills lots of people on the ground, and that makes us groundlings happy. Many have offered a prayer of thanks to Saint Sinist for his timely rocket podding of that NC max who was about to make your face into a Jackson Pollock painting of bone and blood on the far wall. Or that time you couldn't find that one damn sniper and offered a oath to lord Dagon the eternal if you could just find him and give him your brick of friendship; and then lord Dagon sends Sinist to casually murder the guy on a mountain near render distance, and you are at peace knowing justice was done.
No one on the ground really knows how to summon Sinist, for he is a fickle and mercurial spirit. Some believe the suffering of his comrades summons him to the biggest fights, some even attribute instances of mass allied suicide by C4 to be Sinist cultists trying to summon their dark lord, rather than incompetence and general idiocy. We may never know the truth.

    NC

The presence of PREY/C150 has made writing rules for middling pilots against the NC very easy, almost like a mathematical formulae in fact. It goes like this.
See a Reaver? No. Good proceed with caution.
See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? No. Does it have an outfit tag? No. Try to kill it.
See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? No. Does it have an outfit tag? Yes. Is it PREY/C150? No. Get help, then kill.
See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? Yes. Do not engage.
See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? No. Does it have an outfit tag? Yes. Is it PREY/C150? Yes. Get help, then prepare to die anyway.
See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? Yes. Does it have an outfit tag? Yes. Is it PREY/C150? Yes. ABANDON YOUR POSTS, FLEE, FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES

See a Reaver? Yes. More than one? No. Does it have an outfit tag? Yes. Is it PREY/C150? Yes. Is it Rguitar, Ihearcolors or Globemaster? Yes. Relax and accept your fate with dignity.

I'm unsure about the integrity of the post if you think sinist is actually a good pilot.
  3. Juunro

I am a goddawful ESF pilot. I am a reasonably decent Lib pilot.

A guilty pleasure of mine is ram-killing the better pilots with libs while they are doing the hover-dance thing. Also sitting 3 hexes behind enemy lines with a max vehicle stealth Skyguard waiting for pilots to be on an RTB after closely winning an engagement or being driven off from on-target ground AA. They are almost back to safety and suddenly FLAK EVERYWHERE.

The rage tells are often amusing.

    Amazing, amazing, amazing ...
