Its based only on the red color scheme. TR is closer to Totalitarianism, though the republic leaders clearly saw the benefits of researching ancient Vanu tech prior to the war.

in PS1 TR had a few redneck qualities mostly due to the marauder, the Raider was originally going to be named the Battlewagon.

NC were characterised in the same fashion they were in the PS2 trailer, serious grizzled capitalist freedom fighter with a healthy amount of stubble.
