Dual Weilding...

    Duel wielding pistols would be rather interesting. Could balance like they do maxes by no ADS and a COF nerf while doing it.

    Yes, honesty it would be interesting if it was balanced, but to do this you should not allow dual wielding NS revolvers.

    Fully agree duel commissioners/underbosses would be worse than shotguns.

    Note that you can't ADS while dual wielding, so you lose precision in favor of power. Kinda balanced

    This could work as a cosmetic though they'll likely want you to buy each dual wield fluff for each weapon. if they made functional dual wield weapons i'd expect them to be very similar to non-dual wield weapons.

    Not a good topic. And people on the internet don't rly get sarcasm unless you use /sarcasm tag. Especially when you're saying the truth.

    Dual wielding any of the current sidearms without additional balancing would be OP. Even a MAX gun has less DPS than any of the sidearms. Just because 1 Beamer is **** doesn't mean 2 Beamers would be **** too.

    It doesn't mean dual wielding can't be implemenented in a balanced and meaningful way. Light Assaults are aching for a weapon that remains relatively accurate while flying on the Jet Pack and jumping around. We're also lacking any empire-specific toys, like Jackhammer / MCG / Lasher.

    Dual wielding NEW special weapons, that don't have anything to do with current sidearms or other weapons, could fill both those niches.

    Within current game mechanics, it's not possible nor desirable to implement dual wielding for LA the same way as for MAXes.

    But it's easy to implement dual wielded weapons as a single primary weapon, that is sold and equipped as a pair in the primary weapon slot, and otherwise performs similar to a single primary weapon. The only difference would be is that you have two weapon models on your screen instead of one.

    They would have effective range / DPS similar to that of SMGs.

    As far as aiming down sights go, we can aim with them the same way we can aim with MCG. You just bring weapons closer to your face and screen magnifies a bit. Doesn't matter it's not realistic, it's sci-fi, we can think of any explanation how this can work.

    I speculate it's impossible to make it possible to aim down sights mid air with these weapons, it has to be all or nothing. But they could still just give it good hip fire accuracy while flying / jumping. Or even fixed cone of fire.

    I'm not sure it's possible to make dual wielded weapons alternate between left and right while firing, but it should be easy to just make both of them fire for each single click (in case of semi auto). In that case, mechanically, this would be implemented as a shotgun with 2 pellets per shot. Kinda like Tank Buster.

    It's easy to implement and easy to balance and there's a good reason to do it. Wish that would happen one day.

    Dual Lasher Pistols:
    Pretty self explanatory.

    Dual Metalstorm Pistols ( Google Superposed Load ):
    5-6 round extremely fast burst for maximum dakka.

    Dual Railgun Pistols:
    Damage penetration through a single target

    All LA only.

    Only because it's been implemented poorly in every game it's been done in.

    Also, I think if it were specialized for LA, it would fit perfectly.
