I suggest making every weekend double xp by default, and for members last weekend of the month would therefore be quad xp.
If this is done this way, then newbies will level everything up faster and there will be nothing to keep them in the game.

Without even reaching ASP 1, having a single directive or even a single aurax? I'm not even sure what kinda point you were tryna make but you just sound goofy. One of the biggest complaints even from existing players is the grind.
On the contrary, grinding suits me. I level up after discovering what I want, when the game gets boring I take a break. When I come back I often create a new character.
