Yeah, I'd like to see fewer bases, farther apart to promote mid-field vehicle battles.

We pull a whole platoon of Mags in T42 all the time when there's a serious enemy armor force... I don't think there is any problem with that. We get some great fun tank battles doing this.

The biggest problem is that they are just over so quick... 1 side loses, respawns at nearest base as HA or AV Engie, and that's the end of it.

With more space between bases, there'd be time to mount second waves.

I want fewer, more valuable, and very strongly infantry focused bases, leaving the securing of the outside and crossing from 1 base to the next up to vehicles.

Then yes, we're in agreement there. I'd like to see tanks being used more purposefully than just shelling the crap out of infantry most of the time.

The Amerish revamp... it's actually kind of hit and miss. Believe it or not, I mostly play infantry, though I was a notorious tank ***** in other games, so now that my TR is mostly certed out on what I'd like, it'll be time for me to begin focusing on tanks and possibly gearing up in those (because I can't fly for crap with the current flying model). In a sense that'll be good for me when I want to play infantry, but Amerish was somewhat supposed to be the more vehicle-friendly one. Now it looks like that'll fall to Esamir... aside from, of course, getting to shoot into bases from the ground. But we shouldn't have to put huge walls around everything just to keep the spawns from being shelled.

That said, it's somewhat of a necessary evil. The lattice means you can't just flow from place to place; it forces engagements with specific bases, and those bases need to be relatively close by since the whole continent is only about 25km square.

It's possible we might see this more once Hossin, Battle Islands, and continent locking is in - then we may see sickening amounts of armor pouring through. But until then, it just kind of sucks that most of the time, tanks are pulled to fight a tank zerg, as opposed to there being a ground battle and a definite "line" being formed. Aircraft get to have that, but tanks don't, and it's just saddening.
