As A2A dogfights are getting scarcer and scarcer due to all the AA on the ground, i want to ask the following from all players. when you see 2 or more ESF's have a stand-off within range, please refrain from grabbing your burster/lock-on. any thoughts on this?
If you're dog fighting over an area where you're likely to get Bursted or Locked-on, you positioned your fight wrong.
This isn't some epic war movie where the protagonist and antagonist get to fight each other in the middle of a field of war while the other peons ignore them completely. This isn't the Marquess of Queensbury rules, I will **** on any airborne within range and you'll like it.
i see where this is going... thing is that i cant measure how much my dogfighting improved if one of use is getting melted from below/a fellow pilot. well ill just leave this thread, because im sleepy. will see tommorow howmuch ppl disagree
You still use the term "lolpodding"? It takes less skill to use a Burster max than it does to fly an ESF.
Stop fighting over AA. Go behind enemy lines and get the new / repaired enemy air while they are flying to the battle. With the mobility that air has compared to ground you decide the field of battle. If AA kills you it's because you let it.
my thoughts are you should keep up on FNO and you would know dome shields are coming next patch. Then go to esamir and dogfight all you like. Course why fly just to dogfight.... thats just me though.
I find it upsetting that it took 5 replies for you to figure out where a thread like this would go in the first place.
If you're looking purely for dogfights, the last place you want to look is in heavily contested areas. Best places to look are just outside the heavy Combat zones or hostile WGs where you'll get plenty of ESFs to kill. So if you're dogfighting over an area where you're likely to get Bursted or Locked-on, you're positiong your fight wrong.
i fly different set-ups, but lately ive been using the A2A set-up quite some time. i fly from base to base trying to cleanse it of enemy air, whilst not always as succesfull, i enjoy it. was gone for 5 minutes, cant help that you all replied the same answer
I was actually trying to cautiously suggest that next time before you click Submit you run through a checklist in your mind...first and foremost you should ask yourself "Is this just going to get **** all over before I have a chance to breathe?"
well, as i am close to going to bed now, no. this time i didnt. BUT why dont you post this in, lets say, 70% of all threads made? or even better, make a thread about it and get replies stating they can post whatever they like within the forum rules
Nope, I fly right in and ninja that kill. Or aim my AA up and ninja the kill. I do however try to avoid shooting friendlies dogfighting, and even give up a kill if it risked hitting a friendly in the process.
